"The positives include comfortable beds, excellent new bathrooms (including a very good shower), good location and responsive communication with the owners. The negatives include a musty basement bedroom with a long walk down a hallway to the bathroom; missing basics—eg, there was no electric or stove kettle, no soft spatula (say, for fried eggs) and it was BYO shampoo, conditioner and shower soap (a first for a VRBO rental for us). The house is fine-an obvious rental property with many nice pluses and some negatives."

We were a group 5 women, grade school BFFs, celebrating a milestone birthday….. loved having our own bedrooms and bathrooms, more so because they were totally renovated. Our hosts happened to be nearby over the weekend and even set up our evening fire pit to ensure the required s’more-fest was a success. Highly recommend!"

"The home was in a great location to explore Berkshire County. The house was spacious and great for our family reunion with each of us having our own rooms and almost all bedrooms had en suite bathrooms. The house did have its quirks, as one might expect for a very old home. But we all enjoyed its character, including the robin’s nest outside one of the windows. A few things that any renter should be aware of. You do hear traffic noise on Rte 7. It’s a trade-off for being close to everything. Bring layers in the summer! All of us were freezing in the AC and the temperature control was locked. We couldn’t make it warmer. So despite it being summer, we all had on sweaters, fleece jackets and long pants while inside. Also, be aware of that the home is only supplied with minimal towels (1 body towel, 1 hand towel and 1 face cloth) per person. There were no extras. And there are no towel bars to hang towels to dry. No bath mats to step out of showers. Only 2 dish towels in the kitchen. There were no pool towels. Also, supplies for guests are minimal. We suggest asking for the list of what is and isn’t supplied well ahead of time to be prepared. While there were closets in most bedrooms, there were no coat hangers. We had a few issues while we were there and the local handy man was responsive and friendly. We appreciated his help.We all had fun celebrating a milestone birthday and gathering as a family."
