"Wonderful setting. We stayed in 'Pepper Cottage' and felt like we were in the jungle - but in a safe way. Best massages we had in Sri Lanka. Also the best breakfast - it was just so beautifully prepared. Location is set back off a main road - which you cannot hear - but this meant it was easy to walk to nearby restaurants."

"Nice small hotel close to the beach, town and bars etc. Nice

and bar area and food is good (we had to pay extra for breakfast). Ideal for a short break, the hotel arranged turtle swimming for us and can organise many other trips, also Spa on site. We had travelled from Tissa and first impressions here was that Marissa was very touristy and the route to the “secret beach” is a rubbish strewn dirt track, however once we settled in, we enjoyed the area."
