This hotel is getting very old and tired looking. The halls wreak of cigarette smoke. Carpets need to go. The beds are very uncomfortable and the rooms are outdated. It is conveniently located but I won’t stay here again until I know upgrades have been done.

Pretty good property. Wasn't expecting to be given the option of staying in a smoking room, but was pleasantly surprised. Bathroom tub was quite scuffed, but not a big deal. Also a little light on the toiletries (body wash, shampoo), but didn't need them (who does?) and probably could have requested and been given more. One of the most upsetting parts of the stays was that a local channel airing the Sunday night Packers @ Vikings games was out of service. Something about an expired contract I believe? Kind of surprising not being able to watch the hometown team in a Minnesota hotel. The front desk receptionist was not helpful at all on the matter, but I'm not sure what I expected him personally to do. Hot tub was also a little cool once I adjusted to the water temperature. Maybe could have asked for it to be turned up, but wasn't about to get out of the water just to do so. Maybe would have used the hot tub again if not for that issue. Also I didn't experience it myself, but I heard another guest mention the pool was quite cold as well. The housekeeping staff were very helpful, and we tried our best to keep the room in good condition for them, though it would have been nice if there was a designated recycling spot (I felt bad throwing my water bottles into the trash can with my trash, but I perhaps could have separated the two between the two trash cans in our room had I thought about it ahead of time).

Horrible experience. This is the first time I didn’t have a good Time at this hotel , first our tv didn’t work and no one knew how to fix it. We had no table. The tub stopper was moldy. The room was overall not clean.

Excellent Value for Reasonable Price
The room was clean and comfortable. I love the big screen TV lots of sports and HBO and Cinemax movies. Very good WiFi fast and easy check-in. The lady at the front was very nice, hadn't been to this hotel in a couple years and she still remembered me. I have always had a great experience at Prime Rate Inn.

Was here for a week for a funeral. The hot tub and pool helped me cope. The beds where so comfortable. I will always come here when i visit Minnesota

Great motel
We were surprised and pleased by the condition and comfort of this motel. The price was great and the pool and hot tub were especially appreciated by all of us.

Hotel site says free breakfast include and had only chocolate muffins and coffee. Recliner in room had sharp metal sticking out and dangerous. Pool and hot tub had a lot of chlorine burned eyes even when not exposed in pool.

When we arrived in our room, we noticed that that foot stand on the recliner was broken off and the metal rods were sticking out where someone could get hurt on them. Also, just right before we went to bed, we were going to lock the deadbolt and it was broken. The front desk was told about both issues. The breakfast was only pre-wrapped muffins. This hotel has gone downhill since my last stay years ago.

It is a nice hotel with a friendly staff. My room was neat and clean. It was a non-smoking room and smelled fresh, no smoke smell at all, but the hallway outside the room reeked of cigarettes. Fortunately none of that stench made it inside my room. My room was small, but I ordered single occupancy with only one bed. But it had a refrigerator and microwave and your basic amenities (no coffee maker, I don't drink it anyway). Check in was quick and easy. Check out was nothing more than leaving the key cards on the lobby counter. I think I got a great value for the price for 2 nights (Fri & Sat). I will definitely keep this place in mind next time I find myself needing a room in the twin cities area.

First room smelled strongly of gas, staff was kind and gave us a new room, hallways smelled very strongly of pot. New room was very musky, freezing, no cable, and no TP on the holder in bathroom. When we got back late at night, there was no parking spots, and cars parked on end caps even. The morning breakfast did not exsist, and the pot smell was still present even in the lobby. Was always a man sitting in lobby watching people, very creepy.

A lot of people drinking on the property, sitting in hallway or hanging outside consuming alcohol. A lot of empty alcohol containers around the property. Saturday morning no hot water. Parking was tough. I honestly didn’t feel the safest. A lot of garbage outside of doors. Filthy stairways. The room itself was comfortable and clean.
