Great hosts, great place, great communication, great neighbors!
Steve was great! Met us at check-in and walked us through the property. Communicated with us a few times throughout our stay to ensure we were satisfied. Was accessible if needed.
Place was great! We were the lucky few to have the opportunity to rent this “home” as it’s only rented out a couple of times per year. This makes it feel much more like staying at a friend’s place vs staying somewhere that just funnels renters in and out every week. Lots of personal touches.
Location was great! Right on the water with great views and very friendly neighbors to the south. Steve made his kayaks and canoe and other items available to us at no additional charge. Was also easy to do lots of exploring around the greater Minneapolis area too. Short trip to downtown and many other areas.
Warning: No dishwasher. Didn’t realize this when reserving so just be aware of that. Was a little tough with young children and our plans to eat many meals in. If going out for lunches and dinner, no worries here. Also, no private refrigerator/freezer either. Host made space available, but had to keep track of what was ours and what was theirs. Again, just something to be aware of. Not a complaint, just transparency for planning purposes.
