The property did a great job at providing necessary information for check in and pertinent information. The only thing is: as of this time the tram is not running to “Shore” station; you have to take a 25 bus to Duke Street and it’s about 10 minute walk from there. I found it a bit confusing to figure out where my room was as there’s no front desk. Yet, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There’s not many places around for breakfast or late dinner.

There is no better place to stay in Edinburgh! The staff was superb, the location couldn’t be beat, and we never wanted to leave our room. We will definitely be back!

Great service and staff! For the money, definitely not worth the experience. Room decor is so so and the boat sits at quite a tilt so you always feel like you have ‘sea legs’. Food at the restaurant was OK, the breakfast (eggs Benedict) was the best I’ve ever had.

Great location and nice towels are the good attributes of this hotel. Our stay was for 3 nights and for 2 of the nights the power in our room kept going off. We had to walked to the reception desk and report our problem to which they could only temporarily fix the problem. We couldn’t charge our phones or use the kitchen appliances or television. The door key only worked some of the time and needed resetting often. The shower glass has a good size seam that allows water to sock the floor. The most frustrating part for us was the dryer aspect of the washer/dryer barely dries the clothes. We had to hang our wet clothes all over the room and hope the would dry.
