"First impression was to notch. Location was breathtaking. House was very clean (wife says it was one of the clematis houses we've stayed). Kitchen and the rooms were well- stocked with all necessities. The morning sunrise on the balcony was amazing. We were only there for a few days to attend our daughter's wedding at the Virginia International Raceway (only 14 minute drive!). We would've loved to stay longer to actually enjoy the lake but we were too busy in all the wedding preparations. Only detractors from the house were the little details as a result of the upgrades made (some doors didn't latch, some doorknobs not installed correctly, shower was lukewarm at best, pool rack hung on the wall was not secure, remote for upstairs bedrooms controlled BOTH fans simultaneously(kinda funny), etc.). We fixed what we could but unable to fix all. Again the stay was short and those few issues were not enough for is to dispel the overall great impression we had from this house. We definitely recommend the Beaver Dam house. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful lakeside home... albiet only for a short stay."
