"La Corrèze est magnifique. Mais la résidence était extrêmement sale. Des murs jaunis et tachés aux poils d’animaux sous chaque meuble, le ménage normalement réalisé entre chaque location a clairement été oublié toute l’année.L’habitat était également en piteux état : des volets cassés qui ne fermaient pas aux portes difficiles à fermer. "The house has been renovated nicely and has most things that you need, except wifi! There is a reasonable telephone signal but we quickly used up our data roaming allowance as we were there to search for a property. There is a restaurant in the next village and a supermarket in Felletin which also hosts a country market on Friday mornings. It is lovely being in the middle of the Millevaches Plateau but that does mean it takes a long time to get anywhere. The host was very kind and helpful...

"Bonjour,Nous avons passé un excellent séjour,dans un cadre exceptionnel. Dépaysement assuré par cette vaste végétation et ce lac au abord de ce petit chalet. L'ombre des grands arbres nous a permis de supporter la canicule. Nous avons pu nous rafraîchir tous les jours dans le lac et faire de nombreuses activités comme du pédalo, du canoë , randonnée, visiter des cascades à 1h de Neuvic.(à Gimel)"

"Quietly located place in the forest at 5 km from major roads. Deer come to the garden in the evening. All facilities available even android TV on which you can cast movies and TV. Good starting place for walks. From 00:00 also very good for night photography. Well received and got a lot of information about the region and surroundings. Highly recommended for those looking for peace in the middle of nature."

"I had a lovely week, away from it all, in Haute Correze. I love the area though I wasn't familiar with Ussel and its surroundings but found loads of new places to see and things to do. The accomodation was very spacious (I was alone), the dining room, kitchen and bathroom all well- equipped. I was there during a heatwave and the terrace was sometimes just too hot to sit out on, but still an asset to the property."

"This was a one night stay for a short visit to the region for family reasons. There was nobody around on arrival. The restaurant was closed.There was a handwritten message stuck to the inside of the window explaining how to get to our room. The key was in the door. I needed to use the Wi-Fi during my stay but wasn’t informed what the password was and there was nobody around to ask. On leaving the restaurant was open and there was somebody there to take the key. Service was very poor, but I guess you get what you pay for."

"There is no question about this small resort it is absolutely astonishing with the surrounding scenery. It just stunning! Beautiful lake and surrounding area with plenty of other breathtaking places to visit. However the lodge we had did have a problem with hot water when we first arrived but was quickly resolved. The main issue was our cabin ( it had extremely creaky floors!) this wasn’t a problem in itself. However if you had to get up during the night you’d wake up the other people you are staying with. Additionally communication with staff was difficult due to the language barrier when trying to sort problems out with the staff however they were very patient and polite. They had plenty of activities to do on site. One thing I would offer that’s not provided is basic amenities such as tea and coffee especially if you’ve travelled a long way to the site (even if you paid extra for it) otherwise very clean and tidy accommodation and again absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! "
