"Convience of visiting people in the Poconos"
Older style motel kept up to newer style. Nice to have the great cable connection. Very close to a good choice of eateries. 1/2 to Middletown NY Close to high point state park in NJ it's the highest point in the entire state Was a good value on your dollar Very clean and quiet Would use them again if the need were to arise again. They are roughly half the cost of the name brand national brands. But I don't see it worth double the cost

"A great couple's getaway "
Reading past reviews of this place gave me major second thoughts about staying here. I'm so glad that I gave it a try! Were there management shenanigans to deal with and overlook in order to have a good time? Absolutely. I made reservations on Expedia and then they got canceled by Mt. Haven. When I went to try to find out why, I could see that the rates for the hotel on the date I wanted had doubled. So I chose a different date and crossed my fingers that they wouldn't get canceled. I was in luck! I reserved a cottage, and then recieved a different room when I checked in. Fortunately it was great- it had a giant tub and a fireplace in front of the bed. Even so, I'm not sure why I wasn't able to receive a cottage as they appeared to be available with no cars parked in front of them all weekend. But I digress. The breakfast was AMAZING, the dinner was delicious and the portions were huge (even though it was more expensive than we expected- the prices on the menu on the website needs to be updated) and the staff was very accommodating in lending us silverware so I could eat my leftovers in the room later on (bonus-our room had a microwave). The cleaning staff were AMAZING and attentive, I was very impressed. I will definitely be back!

"Very Accommodating Staff"
Even though we were unsure of how late we would need to check-in, the hotel manager was very agreeable. We initially thought we would lose the reservation and still be charged the rate of the room, since we booked through Expedia, but we were able to secure a late check-in and even though it was around 11 when we arrived, the hotel manager could not have been nicer, although right down to business. In the morning, during check out, she was very pleasant, even though we had had some issues over the phone prior to check-in. Room was clean, nothing to write home about, but a good place to stay in a pinch!

"Lovely stay after hiking"
From the moment we arrived, the entire experience was lovely. Staff, rooms, dinner at Bar Louis, continental breakfast. This was a fall foliage hiking weekend for our party of 8. The Fauchere provided a beautiful interlude. Will definitely be back.
