About this property
Central Station within walking distance, Metro out of the door, Como lake in 1h
Quite and soundproof flat with fast wifi connection, at the 5th and last floor with elevator, air conditioning in each room and central heating. It can host 4 people in 2 separate rooms with comfortable beds, and 2 baths. STRATEGIC LOCATION; the best solution for daily trips: Centrale Railway Station and Fashion District are in 5 min. by public transport or 10 min. walking. It is at the beginning of Corso Buenos Aires, a neighbourhood full of shops, grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. The underground station Porta Venezia is out of the building; it takes to Duomo, Castle, Stadium and Airport trains. Rho Fiera Milano in 19 min. Como lake in 1 hour.
The Space "Milano Porta Venezia" (MPV ) is a 55 square meters completely renovated apartment: modern amenities with vintage charme! It consists of a kitchen/living-room with balcony (very useful for smokers) and a corridor that takes to the independent night area. The corridor leads to 2 separate bed-rooms and to the bathrooms. It is soundproof, so you will not hear any noise and sounds and you will not be waked by morning sun light because metal shutters block it out. "Milano Porta Venezia” ( MPV) is your ideal starting point for any urban and suburban itineraries; it is a fantastic location: nestled perfectly between the cathedral/Duomo (4 min.) and Centrale railway Station (5 minutes) where there are shuttle buses connecting directly to Malpensa and Orio al Serio airports. A 10 minutes walk, or with the nearby bike-sharing, you can get to the famous “Quadrilatero della Moda” (Fashion District) in the heart of the city, maybe with a stop by the historical Porta Venezia gardens. These can be used for outdoor physical activities and to make children play. The fastest way (19 minutes) to visit Rho Fiera is the “Passante Ferroviario” (Railway Bypass): its station is right in front of “your” apartment, and it is called, needless to say, Milano Porta Venezia. Como lakes can be reached in less than one hour. Outlet Serravalle Scrivia is connected by a shuttle that stops out of the building. MPV is the perfect apartment for holidays, business trips, shopping week-ends, Fashion and Design week, furniture exibition week, even for families with children.
Guest Access Guests will be welcomed by the owner at the main entrance of the building in the street. They can make use of the entire apartment and can enjoy all its comforts. Fresh and quality ingredients are available for immediate needs. In case of vegetarian diet or gluten, lactose, egg intolerance, specific food will be provided, upon notification when booking.
Interaction with Guests The owner is present at check in and check out. Check in and check out time can be flexible if there isn't a departure or an arrival in the same day (the apartment needs time to be cleaned!). In any case luggage can be dropped off. The owner will be available during all your staying for suggestions and advices; she enjoys meeting all her guests, but she respects their privacy and space as well. Please, feel free to interact with her as much or as little as you would like to.
The Neighbourhood From "Milano Porta Venezia" you can explore and experience Milan comfortably and in style! The "shopping street" district has a colorful and diverse nature. To be a central district, it has indeed its own strong identity: just take a look at Via Panfilo Castaldi, and you will see a glorious road that opens like a theater scene with the nineteenth-century banner of the historical hat shop, or try also to go to the Popolare bookshop in Tadino street. As the writer Giorgio Fontana says: "Porta Venezia is “a little happy island in many large streets ". Now the district is evolving in an interesting way: hipster locations appear more and more. It is a neighborhood that has a heart; a heart that beats many different rhythms. It has fantastic craft shops, cafes and restaurants with great chefs for all tastes and budgets. Here you can eat both cooked and raw food, vegetarian and organic menus and, of course, delicious courses of the Italian and Milanese tradition!
Getting Around Railway Central Station: 5 minutes (4 tramway stops); 10 min walking Airports bus link: 5 minutes (4 tramway stops); 10 min walking Parking is public, it is charged during the day, it is free overnight. Maria Teresa and Nicola were in contact with us a few days before our arrival. Communications and directions were clear, and they were so friendly. They had lots of local tips and suggestions for us, as well as leaving us with water, juice, coffee and tea. The apartment was great, exactly as pictured, clean, tonnes of restaurants, pubs and transit nearby. Busy part of town, but really quiet with the windows closed. Great place, excellent hosts, would love to stay again.
Maria Teresa & Marco are fabulous hosts! They went above and beyond making sure our stay was comfortable-they even did laundry for us since the washer had broken right before we checked in AND found us a tailor when we need some mending! They thoughtfully stocked everything we might need during our stay. The apartment is located in a very nice area and close to the subway. We had a very comfortable stay and we'll definitely stay here on our next visit.
The host was very friendly, communitive, and very helpful during our stay. Everything was as advertised and expected and we made use of the espresso machine and washing machine. We also visited two great restaurants nearby and made daily use of the Porta Venezia metro station. Perfect location and stay for us and recommend for a stay in Milan. Grazie!
Congratulations! You are about to make an excellent decision if you are lucky enough to rent this property. Excellent location with amenities all around and metro just outside the door. Our host was wonderful and went out of her way to make our stay great.
My family and I stayed here and it was perfect! Maria was an incredible host. She was friendly, sweet, helpful and great at communicating with us. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed and things we didn’t even know we needed. We will definitely book this property for our next trip to Milan. Thank you, Maria!
The owner of the apartment is a wonderful ambassador for Milan. She provided great suggestions for our stay. The tram and subway are right out the front door so it is easy to navigate the city’s major attractions, Central rail station, etc. The spacious apartment is totally renovated, very clean, and comfortable. This apartment is a gem!
We were visiting Milan for a few days and decided to stay at Maria’s VRBO. Best decision as it was close to all transportation, shopping, easy walks to the center of town and the apt and Maria were both great. Having a washing machine was helpful as well. Would definitely come back. Only thing to note that it’s truly a one bedroom with a really nice sofa bed in a larger living room. We didn’t mind that as it was just the two of us.
We had an excellent 4 night stay at Maria’s apartment. Everything was wonderful. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and modern with air conditioning and sound proof windows. It was perfectly located to walk to the trains/trams and local restaurants.
Maria was lovely, she went above and beyond, meeting us when we arrived (and departed!), helping with our luggage and sharing her tips for the city. We would highly recommend this apartment for a perfect stay in Milan.
Thank you Maria!
We had an incredible stay! The host Maria Teresa was absolutely fantastic, going above and beyond to make our visit comfortable and enjoyable.
The location was perfect, offering easy access to all the local attractions and there was an elevator. We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great place in Milan.
I would be remiss not to mention that the apartment is best for 2 people but worked for 4 of us. The 2nd bathroom is only a toilet and sink, no shower. However we would not hesitate to stay here again. The host was an incredible human being and we can’t thank her enough.
Maria Theresa and her husband were delightful hosts. Suffice it to say that all of the accolades mentioned in the reviews over the past several years remain well-deserved. I highly recommend this accommodation and am looking forward to my next visit. I think this property is particularly well-suited for first time visitors to Milan given its strategic location, access to multiple transportation nodes, wealth of amenities in the immediate area and Maria Theresa's expert guidance. Also, for those who may be sensitive to cigarette smoke, I am glad to report that I had no issues even though technically smoking is permitted on the balconies. You really can't go wrong staying here.
This lovely flat is in a very convenient location, with trams and subway right outside the door. The Milano Centrale train station is a short tram or metro ride away, or walkable in about 20 minutes. The flat is very clean and comfortable, and the hosts had even left some yogurts and drinks in the fridge for us, which was a very welcome surprise. We were very grateful for the tiny elevator, which we quickly got used to. Nicola had given us several restaurant recommendations, and we had dinner at Da Oscar (right around the corner) which was excellent. It was great to have a small convenience store right downstairs, which also sold wine and spirits. The streets outside are busy and loud, but with the windows closed, it’s fairly quiet. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the world go by! Many thanks to Maria Theresa and Nicola for providing such great hospitality and adding so much to our lovely experience in Milano!
Our trip to Milan was an amazing adventure and we have Maria Teresa to thank. The location was phenomenal and everything we wanted to do was in walking distance. On arrival Maria Teresa greeted us and made us feel at home. She offered personal recommendations on restaurants and activities through all parts of Milan. Everything she suggested was amazing. She provided a binder with helpful information. She checked in and made reservations for us which made the visit easier. Her home is beautiful and our family of 4 adults enjoyed it. She showed us all the workings of the modern home and made herself available for questions. Her appreciation for her home and city is evident in the talks we shared. She made us feel like part of her family. The neighborhood was wonderful and felt very safe at all times. This is a MUST if you plan to stay in Milan. You will not be disappointed.
Conveniently located amd spotlessly clean property
This flat is ideal for a city break- it is on a very busy shopping street and right above Porta Venezia metro station (25-30 mins from Linate airport). Despite being in a very busy and bustling urban area the flat is very quiet and well soundproofed. It is very compact so ideal for 3-4 people. It is spotlessly clean and everything is pristine. Space is used well and the appartment has everything one needs and more- the hosts have gone to so much thought to supply everything from umbrellas, toiletries (including make up remover!) and more. The kitchen is well supplied with pots snd pans shoukd you wish to cook. There are fantastic places to eat just round the corner so we made good use of them all.The hosts Maria Theresa and her husband Nicola however are exceptional- would give them more than the five stars allowed! From communucation to givingvus excellent recommendations of places to visit, where to eat and numerous other tips (Nicola was kind enough to even call Monza to find out if tours were available as tickets on the website were showing as sold out) which enabled us to have a wonderful stay. Thank you so much both of you.
The property is in a fantastic area, easy walk to Duomo and so well located for transport links. Metro, buses and trams literally outside the door.
Train station within a short walk/tram/metro make taking a day trip further afield a breeze.
Maria Theresa is the perfect host. She was waiting at the apartment to greet us and went through how everything in the apartment worked. All the little things you need for your stay are provided. She has also taken the time to provide a folder with recommendations of where to visit and good local restaurants, her folder has actual restaurant menus in it!
Because this is an area for locals every amenity is available; supermarkets, bars and good restaurant's.
Maria Theresa turned up at a mutually convenient time for check out she even showed me where to get the tram to the train station, waited with me, made sure I got on the correct one and even lifted my bag onto the tram. Honestly you couldn’t expect anymore from the host or the apartment.
If I find myself in Milan again I would definitely stay here and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.
The best thing about this rental experience was the host- who communicated in a timely, organized and helpful way all through the process from booking to check out.
The location in Milan could not be more convenient- literally steps from building entry to metro station.
The building has interesting quirks like the smallest cabinet size elevator that barely fit two people (surprising quick to the top floor)- the view for the balcony puts you right into the city, and with good Italian shutters/ mosquito screen/ soundproof windows you can barely hear any city traffic.
The apartment is super clean and modern. Kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms were all well equipped ( host thought of all the ammenities!)
We met at the building for check in and benefitted from all the long standing local knowledge and patient introduction and tips from our host. She even have a organized binder of sights, restaurants, locations of interest and other helpful resources and how to recycle etc in it.
Instructions for operating any of the appliances were also clearly organized.
Check out was also super easy.
All in all this has to be the best VRBO or vacation rental we have experienced. highly recommend this property and our most gracious host.
Our host (Maria) was wonderful. Great communication timeliness. Was there to meet us and spent time explaining how everything worked, places to see, and where to eat. A delightful host. Apartment was spotless and had all the amenities that a couple would need for a stay.
The apartment was well appointed and immaculately clean. There was everything you ever needed at your disposal. The location was brilliant and although in a busy area at night with the shutters closed quiet and best sleeps ever on our comfortable beds. Super host so friendly and welcoming and super accommodating. Definitely highly recommended.
Great location. Maria was an amazing host. Only issue is the description of second bathroom. Stated a shower and does not have a shower. Its a half bath Must eat at Oscars (right around the corner)
We loved loved, loved the property. It was in a perfect location for us to catch the metro and head all over Milan. Our host was gracious and very informative and met us at the apartment. She had everything ready for our visit. I would definitely stay there again. The property was clean and comfortable for our visit.
Had the most wonderful stay in Milan. Teresa and Nicole were fantastic hosts. The apartment was so clean, newly remodeled and just perfect. The location was incredible and easy to get to everything. The air conditioner worked great. Before our stay, Teresa answered all our questions promptly and kindly. They are such a sweet couple. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to others. Thanks for the great memories!
This apartment was just perfect. 2 spacious bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms, lots of light, well equipped kitchen , washing machine and a great location all made our stay wonderful. Maria Teresa, the owner met us and showed us around the apartment. She also made a restaurant reservation for us. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Milan!
Maria Teresa is a very gracious hostess & gave us many great recommendations of where to go & what to do. The apartment is very well located & easy to walk just 1/2 block to the Metro, a mile to the Central Train Station and a 1 hour train ride to Lake Como. The kitchen has very nice appliances & the bedrooms are quite comfortable. All is updated & neat as a pin. I highly recommend this apartment & Maria Teresa!

Wonderful neighborhood, beautiful, cozy, and clean
This property was so perfect for our family. It is beautifully maintained and Maria Teresa is a dear, lovely person who wants to make your stay perfect. Don't give it a second thought, book it and tell Maria Teresa we miss her.
