Cedar Point's Castaway Bay

"The water park is decent. There’s a lot of scum build up around the edges of the pool. There were used bandaids in the wave pool, and the staff wouldn’t remove them. We offered to scoop them out but they ignored us. Soon after a disabled child was putting them in his mouth. Staff doesn’t allow goggles with a nose piece in the water park, citing “the suction from the nose piece causes problems with breathing”. Two of the bigger pools were closed when we were there. Overall it’s ok, just wish we had known some things before booking."

"This was my third stay here when visiting the area for Cedar Point. The park is about ten minutes away and an easy drive. I checked in around 9pm, after a day at the park, Brian was friendly, and assigned room 125, in the rear building. I had requested a second floor room, was given first floor, although it was fine as there is no elevator. I had some difficulty figuring out how to lock the sliding patio door, called front desk, they offered to help, but I found the lock near the top of the door and called back. The room was fine, clean, spacious, and had TWO King beds, 4 pillows each, which were comfortable. The beds had mismatched bed spreads which was odd. Some supplies were lacking though, only 1 bar of soap for potentially 4 guests, and only 3 bath towels, for a room with a jetted tub, which was disappointing, with no towels near the tub. Most jets were broken. Above the hot tub, there was significant water damage to the ceiling, which was bulging and protruding downwards, which was concerning. Also, the toilet was very difficult to flush, requires significant force, and a child would not be able to flush themselves. The shower stall is a bit tight too. The room had a very flat and modern OLED TV however it did not work and said "needs restoration" and no cable connection. I liked that breakfast ended at 10am and there was plenty of variety including yogurts, waffles, sausage, eggs, and muffins. Quality was okay. The room was a great value and I would return!"

"Husband and I came for a couple days for bike week. One of the lady's that was working at the desk at check was still training but did really good. The lady that was training her was doing a great job helping her out. Everyone we encountered there was really nice. We didn't hear any outside noise or anything from any other guest. Beds were comfortable. My only complaint is the shower, my husband is 6'3 so he had a hard time taking a shower with the shower head so low and didnt go any higher then what it did. We would definitely stay again."
