The location was ideal and the check in process went smoothly. The previous reviews were excellent, however that was not our experience. It was hard to reach the host and communicate within a timely fashion. Our trip was delayed. I asked the host if it was possible to modify our dates. She responded after a couple of days and stated that it was not a problem to do so. I was told that the only thing that needed to be done was to extend the code and notify the cleaner, however that did not take place. I extended our stay under the assumption that we had the vacation rental for that night. We returned to the townhouse to find that the code did not work. Our things were locked inside. We stayed outside for an hour until we were sitting in the dark. I called the host numerous times to no avail. I reached out to VRBO for help and they were unable to reach the host. We had to go to a hotel and buy things in order to be comfortable. In addition to the above mentioned items. There were unaddressed maintenance issues. The grass was overgrown on the back patio and the plaster on the ceiling above the shower was falling off. We didn't get in the apartment until the next day to retrieve our things. At that time, the plaster was in the tub. I've stayed in numerous vacation rentals and enjoy the amenities of home away from home. Something as simple as coffee is expected, but this rental didn't provide it. There was a coffee pot, sugar, and creamer, but no coffee. Beware of the changes.
