This unique home was the perfect place to stay!!! So clean, so different, so family friendly. It’s close to everything. The host were amazing! Will definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!!
We absolutely loved our stay! This place is truly charming and inviting from the moment you walk in. Every detail is so thoughtfully done, making it both cozy and impressive. Such a great location with an easy walk to downtown, and the host went above and beyond to make our stay special. Highly recommend Uncle Ernie’s and can’t wait to visit again!
Our group had a wonderful time staying at Uncle Ernie's! Everything was neat, tidy, and felt like home. We definitely will be back next time we are in the area!
Uncle Ernie's place was immaculate and full of charming details. It was a unique home, unlike anywhere we've stayed. Monica's communication was excellent, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. Plus, the location was perfect. Highly recommend!
The stay couldn't have gone better from contact and check in to check out. Questions were answered promptly. The house was an interesting combination of an historical kit house brought into the 21st century with some very nice upgrades. When I work in the area again, this is where I I'll be staying if available.
My parents stayed at this property for the weekend of my wedding. The whole time they were here they were raving about how perfect the house is and how it’s the best rental property they’ve ever stayed at, how it’s absolutely beautiful and there was so much attention to detail about everything you would need/want in a rental. They said multiple times when they visit again they are thrilled to stay at this house. The host was also very communicative and friendly and went above and beyond to make it a great experience. It’s also in a great location, walking distance to everything you might need. I would recommend staying here to everyone!
First off, the owner(s) were very friendly & great with the communication! This cute little home was perfect for our weekend trip up from Florida for our oldest nephews wedding! The cozy atmosphere was very inviting! We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit, the gas range or the laundry room. But all looked in great condition! There was a snack basket, coffee and tea available, as well as a personal item basket in the bathroom if you had forgotten any thing behind. The home is super close to downtown. Plenty safe to walk the streets and visit the local shops! Highly recommend for a family of 3 or possibly 2 couples!
I think I would exceed the limit if I listed all the little details that make this place special. It was so clean, I questioned if we were the first visitors in this home. It was so unique but homey and so comfortable! Things were labeled so you didn’t guess how something worked. Everything I could’ve needed was in this home. The best part was that this home was owned by Uncle Ernie and the way the owners honored him was so special. I felt like I knew him just by staying there. I can’t say enough about this beautiful space. The hosts were great with communication and the special touches went above and beyond. I can’t wait to stay again!
My daughter and I had two days/one evening in the Middlesboro/Cumberland Gap area. We found this Vrbo and liked it for a few reasons:- They were OK with a single night stay- Flexible with check-in time- Location was greatOverall the experience was good. The property is nice - 2 or 3 are very comfortable. 4 might have been a bit tight but likely would have still worked. It is right on a major road which made it easy to find, but getting in and out of the driveway was a bit of a challenge.Listing on VRBO was accurate and the hosts were helpful and responsive. We would stay here again.
Perfect! Owner was awesome and incredibly responsive. The house was immaculate and ideal for us. Wish we could have enjoyed the fire pit too but we were able to stay high and dry and cozy in the house and avoid the torrential downpours. There is even a nice covered area to get to the carport from the house. Neat historical home close to everything and we were honored to be the first VRBO customer. Thank you for a great experience. We will be back!
We have stayed at Uncle Ernies a few times and have never been disappointed. Monica and Terry are awesome hosts! The home is always decorated beautifully and very clean. We will continue to stay here for our future visits to this area.
Absolutely perfect and one of coolest homes I have ever seen built. ( Google Lustron steel home). We have only been home 3 hours and we are ready to come back. To top it off the host is full of Southern charm.
Uncle Ernie's was amazing and beautiful! We enjoyed everything about our stay there. Monica and Terry were great host. We will definitely stay here again for our future visits.
We stayed here for a graduation at LMU. Uncle Ernie's was one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in. It was clean, comfortable and convenient. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay fantastic. Communication was top notch. I would book this every time I went if I still had a student at LMU.
I’d like to start with wow! When I first walked in what I immediately noticed was this amazingly gorgeous furniture and impeccably clean house! No detail has been left out. From the wonderfully smelling soaps in the bathroom to the greeting in the kitchen, laundry room area! Uncle Ernie’s house is beautiful, warm, comfortable and incredibly inviting. You can feel the love in all of the details of this incredible home. This home is conveniently located to LMU and the Cumberland Gap. Monica is a very attentive host and let us know that there was a music event down the street from the house. I will definitely be returning the next time. I am visiting my daughter for a school event. And I plan to pre-book her graduation.
The host thought of everything in this very unique house, loved the black out curtains which makes me feel cozy and secure, I always need a fan to sleep and forgot mine, but they provided one in every closet, so I didn't have to buy one. We were already familiar with Middlesboro but if you're not it's a beautiful area to explore. Loved it
