Alegria is a charming beach cottage located in Sheridan Beach. This adorable 4 bedroom + loft, 3 bath rental is perfect for your vacation getaway! Located just 2 blocks away from the best beach on Lake Michigan this little gem offers so much! Open the door to the comfortable living area drenched in sunlight welcoming you the moment you walk through the door! The master bedroom is on the main floor with full bath. The second story has a full bath, a big, bright loft (with TV/DVD) that sleeps five - great for the kids! Off the loft is another bedroom with queen bed and French Doors to a private deck. The updated kitchen is totally equipped along with a roomy dining area and seating for the whole gang. Basement features a separate Living Room, Two Bedrooms (together sleep 6 easily), and a Bathroom with Shower.

We love well supplied the house is and how close it is to the beach! The beds are comfortable. There is enough table space for everyone to eat at the same time which is not typical.

College friends get-a-way

Great house for our group to spend the weekend catching up and relaxing! Really enjoyed the extra bonus of watching three deer in the back yard every morning during breakfast after we enjoying the quick stroll down to the beach.

Perfect getaway near the beach

This house was perfect for our family of 13.House was very spacious and clean.We enjoyed our afternoon short walk to the beach,and enjoyed the beautiful sunset and views.We enjoyed the parks and the zoo near by as well.The deck was nice too and loved seeing the wild tukeys in the morning near the hill behind the house.Overall this house was perfect and relaxing for our weekend getaway!Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.We will definitely be back!

Good time at the Beach House

We are a family of 7 (including grandma and grandpa) from the Indy area. We think of Allegra as a very good choice as a beach house. There is plenty of space and beds, although we did not use the basement rooms much for lack of good ventilation (AC/openable windows). Having 3 bathrooms was very convenient and also plenty of bath towels (no beach towels are provided though). At the entrance, a very sensitive smoke detector (close to the chimney) activated every time I tried to fry something.Perfect location, easy access to the large beach. The provided kids' wagon and the beach chairs were a nice plus. The kitchen was well furnished, but a pantry/storage space would have been appreciated. We spotted deer in the backyard almost every day.Communication via app was a bit slow, but the manager stopped by to replace the garbage bin, tablecloth, and deck chairs.Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

Great Family Getaway

The cottage was very well decorated with a beach theme. We especially liked the long dining table!! The back yard was very comfortable & beautiful! Seeing the mother deer & fawn were special events. We loved the short walk to Lake Michigan , park, & zoo. ( beach was even nicer than we expected)The loft was perfect for the grandkids. The lower level ( basement) was a little disappointing as it was chilly until we turned on the heater. The full bed in the room with bunk beds was not comfortable as you could feel the mattress springs. We had a wonderful time using the grill & well equipped kitchen !! Many happy memories were created!

Christmas Family Reunion 2015

Had a large group stay from Jan 1-3 2016. We also had several friends stop by as well. Had a great time. Our Christmas celebration with family was most enjoyable. It was nice spending 2 days together with our family members as many traveled from out of town to attend. Sleeping worked well, but lower level a bit chilly this time of year. Small space heater would have been a big plus. The main floor and loft were perfect. Fireplace was awesome, we used it our entire stay. Great kitchen, and our walk to the beach on Sunny Saturday was excellent. Owner was very nice in assisting us on whatever we needed.

We would most definitely stay here again! Quick walk to the beach with beach accessories available, stocked kitchen with utensils for cooking and grilling, and great location that’s quiet but not too far from restaurants & other fun things!

It was fun

Beach was great especially with waves. Botanical gardens were fantastic. Zoo was close Visit to Oinks is a must. Good location. Kids loved hill and bench behind the house. We had 8 adults and 9 children. For our 1 yr old a pack n play and a high chair. Lots of dishwashing detergent, garbage bags, and laundry pods. It was much appreciated

Location, location, location

This house was close to perfect for us - three families with kids sharing a getaway. We walked to the beach, to the zoo, and to the lighthouse. A short drive to the dunes and outlet mall. Great living and dining space. The big table doubled for evening games. The kitchen worked well - we fixed all our meals at the house. Great to have a dishwasher. The first and second floor sleeping spaces are wonderful. The basement ... is still a basement, and the bedrooms down there are certainly functional, but not as inviting as the others. Very helpful to have three bathrooms! We were very satisfied!

Vintage Lake House Michigan City

Great space that easily accommodated our family of 16. Nice backyard deck in quiet wooded setting. Our kids loved exploring the woods behind the house. Nicely decorated space and well equipped kitchen. Walk to beach was manageable with small kids and wagons. Great memories created!

Walk to the beach on Lake Michigan

Home was clean and had everything you need for your stay. Well stocked kitchen, gas grill. Private back deck. Walk to the beach on Lake Michigan and had beach chairs that can be used. The only downfall is there really is no yard for the kids to play in. We spent a lot of time at the beach and had a wonderful family vacation.

Sweet & short weekend stay

Our families second visit to the area and we brought friends along with us this time! Perfect location for us- short trip to the amazing zoo, walked on the pier and the kids loved the beach (even though it was kinda cold& windy), and had an amazing lunch at Dunebillies. The back deck was great and we saw deer on the hill behind us every morning and evening.

Great location

The property was easy to find. It was in close proximity to the beach, the zoo, a large park, and other places of interests. We had a good size group and there was ample space for everyone. Parking was limited but the neighborhood was quiet, and the people around the area were very accommodating it solved our parking issue. Todd was really quick to respond to our inquiries and request.
