The room was clean, beds were fine, AC worked and the bathroom was clean and spacious. The only negative i would say is that the area that the hotel is in is pretty sketchy. We went to go eat after 7pm and the cops had already been called by someone at the hotel.

We visit Michigan City yearly and we normally stay at a different establishment close by, but the last year it was less then desirable. We settled on Super 8 based on reviews. It was extremely clean, quite and friendly staff. We would stay again

Pleasantly surprised

I was pleasantly surprised actually about how nice the hotel was. Very clean and comfortable. I didn't want to leave. It's also close to almost everything, gas station right next door

Great price, very personable and helpful desk attendant. Property is taken care of. Always parking available. Close to gas stations, food, shopping, bars and restaurants. Small room but space set up well with table for 2, mini fridge, dresser, TV. Room was nice and clean and well kept.

Good value clean practical room for a one-night

Clean comfortable room. I believe it was renovated not too long ago. Hot water was great fridge and microwave there also. Breakfast is no longer served since covid so that is the only thing you need to be aware of but there are plenty of restaurants very close by. Very safe area lots and lots of shopping

overall property was clean and front desk attendant was great. no breakfast available. do not need full service, but protein bars or cereal bars, fruit and juice would have been a plus. also, a homeless couple were living there. made us somewhat uncomfortable. will not stay here again.

Quick weekend away

Very clean, super friendly staff, comfy beds. Only 2 complaints….the room smelled a little funky due to the ac unit. It had a damp smell all weekend. Not a big enough deal to switch rooms though. The other complaint was that I went to the front desk in the evening to grab a few extra towels and the gentleman told me he didn’t have access to extra towels so if you need extra, get them when the cleaning staff is there.

Affordable, nice getaway! Bring room freshener !

The staff was friendly and very accomodating. There wasnt always someone at the front desk but you could call them. We could walk around the area a little bit and felt in safe surroundings. The room appeared clean. The hotel offers maid services upon request which we did not do. Bring conditioner - they only have shampoo. The room was comfortable but i had to go down a score because of smell. Even after getting the air conditioner going it would smell as we were entering. I kept a candle burning when we were in the room. The smell was the only issue we came across. Otherwise the accommodations AND staff were great for a cheap little stay by the dunes! It was cheap and a nice getaway !

It was a terrible snow storm , so I get it , but not even shoveling your front door area so people can get in ? It was up to my knees. The person at the desk said my CC didn’t work and charged me on another card even though I told him I had pre-paid thru Hotels. The keys cards to the room didn’t work , when I took them back and told him he said I must have held them near my cell phone???! He gave me 2 more cards , also didn’t work. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable . It was fine for 1 nite and to get out of the storm.
