Pristine yet cozy 5 bedroom home plus loft with 3 full & 1 half baths on three levels only two blocks from the beach!! Home is nestled in a wooded setting on a hillside sloping down in back for tree-house like views of wooded back yard and a walk-out lower level (one lower bedroom w/sliding glass door to private deck). First floor private bedroom with queen bed and en-suite full bath. Separate half bath on first floor. Upstairs master bedroom with queen bed shares full bath with loft. Basement with two bedrooms and full bath as well as game room/additional bedroom and separate laundry. Large living room with gas fireplace and vaulted ceiling open to loft above with beautiful windows/light. Light wood throughout. Modern kitchen open to dining room which opens out thru sliding doors to back deck! Spacious back deck with natural gas Weber grill for barbecuing. Perfect Lake Michigan dune cottage! At Stop 2, so close to Washington Park, the Zoo, the splash pad, the Marina, Fish Camp restaurant, and the Lighthouse/Pier. Beach is in great shape here (no seawalls needed, lots of sand). Enjoy the serene back yard view with trees and birds while you sip your morning coffee and plan your day on the beach or out and about. Lots of stuff to do nearby - Outlet shopping, breweries, restaurants, golf, Lake Michigan with it's endless possibilities. We can refer you to top deep sea Lake Michigan Captains for a day of Salmon and Trout fishing. Full internet with WiFi and google pucks to keep the signal strong as well as Roku TV in all rooms. House has had only one owner since built and they were meticulous - it's in like new condition, come and check it out for yourself!

Family weekend

Had a great stay here! The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. Everyone had their own space but still enjoyed spending time together in the living room. The dunes were a short walk away, even a playground for the little one! We’ll definitely be coming back in the future.

Great base for exploring the area and reconnecting

The neighborhood deer paused their grazing to greet us. Adequate parking in drive and down the block. We grilled dinner and planned our tours of Michigan City, Botanical Garden, Winery, Brewery and Dunes. Puzzles and games, chatting and even sleeping.

Great big house for family vacations

House is a short walk to the beach, has plenty of beach toys and chairs. Nice big porch with natural gas BBQ (no need to get propane). Kitchen is well stocked. Beds could use an update as the mattresses are good for a few days but not the most comfortable.

First time using Vrbo, and overall everything met my expectations. The listing was very accurate and the owner made sure had new appliances, enough plates, utensils, and important home comfort and TVs in all room. Very impressed with cleanliness and upkeep. Just what we needed!

This property accommodated 6 adults and 5 children perfectly! We had everything we needed and more. It is very kid friendly. We saw several deer in the neighborhood which was really neat! It's a short walk to so many places such as the beach, the zoo, a park, a splash pad, restaurants, etc. We loved Al's Grocery store, too. We were barely home before discussing booking again for next year.

Family Weekend

We had great time to visiting on Memorial day weekend! Our group of 8 was comfortable, even with a day of rain .. and I'm pretty sure no one actually used the game room. The house is in a neighborhood but is set back in mature trees that blocked the neighboring homes. It is a short walk from Lake Michigan and to the park. Todd was a great host responding to questions quickly. The property was clean and actually feels larger than the description. Definitely adding to our save list so we can visit again.

Such a beautiful home! We loved our time there! It was a family/kid friendly home in a quiet neighborhood. Spacious and plenty of beds for everyone. I was amazed by the proximity to parks, the lake, zoo, shopping and train station this house was. We were easily able to jump on the train and be in Chicago in a little over an hour!

This is an excellent location in relation to the beach! Easy walk. There is a TON of space in this house! The kitchen is so well-stocked! Ample parking, great hot water, and wonderful water pressure. As we are an older crowd, we did have trouble with the mattresses. The mattresses were uncomfortable and the queen beds with memory foam were too saggy. Probably wouldn't bother kids or younger people though.
