I booked this hotel for my wedding night, reserving a corner room with a hot tub, which was advertised as a suite. I informed Expedia that it was my wedding night. Upon arrival, I was 'upgraded' to a family suite with two bathrooms and two rooms, but no hot tub. Additionally, both phones in the room were non-functional. I had to approach the manager in my wedding dress to request a room change, only to be informed that they were fully booked. I did not request an upgrade and found this situation outrageous. To make matters worse, the mini-fridge didn't cool properly, and the air conditioning was set to 65 degrees Fahrenheit but felt more like 72 degrees. The room was excessively noisy, with sounds of honking and birds audible from inside. There was a shower on the terrace, which seemed promising, but unfortunately, the view was obstructed by a neighboring building, leaving us exposed to onlookers. The hotel agreed to refund the second night, but only after I contacted Expedia and requested they intervene. Despite assurances, I am yet to receive any communication regarding the refund. Considering the multitude of issues we encountered, I believe we are entitled to a refund for both nights. This experience significantly marred our wedding night, and I intend to share my disappointment with anyone considering a visit to Miami. I am deeply upset by the overall treatment and lack of resolution to these issues."

The property is ideally located next to the Coco Walk center and some great dining options. The rooms are very spacious and ours had an outside patio. The rooms do not have windows (no real natural lighting) and the artificial lighting is very poor. The room was dark. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but I would ask for a different room next time.

We absolutely loved our stay. The room and decor were very beautiful and clean. The area has many great restaurants and shops within walking distance, across the street. There was a wedding going on in the arboretum inside the hotel and the doors to the rooms opened to this area which is open all the way to the roof of the hotel. It didn’t bother us because we were out until after the wedding ended but I can see it bothering people with small children

The staff was not very hornor about parking servise. The valet used the same parking lot cross street and charge $48/d and the self parking was $25 maximum per day. I used one day valet parking service and the rest time I did self parking but they charged 2 days valet service fee. The room was also very noisy with some ongoing construction work, even on Saturday morning so you can't get a good rest. The facility charge everything as 5 star hotel but the lobby and service was only 3 star level. I will not recommend this hotel to any friends. Also feel disappointed the Expedia recommended this hotel to its VIP member.

A great location in Coconut Grove with easy access to shopping and restaurants. We did not like the room. While spacious and well appointed, due to the design of the hotel, the rooms are extremely dark, even in the middle of the day. And there is not adequate lighting to make up for the lack of natural light. For this reason alone, I would not stay at the hotel again. The manager of the hotel was very friendly and helpful, but the rest of the staff seemed a bit out of it, or very new.

No WiFi in lobby which makes check-in challenging, especially when the hotel’s wireless credit card reader doesn’t function. Maid service finally showed up at 4pm. No “Clean my room / Do not disturb” sign was missing. Rooms are excessively dark with very confusing light switches. Party goers made lot noise in the middle of the night by pounding on doorways in the hallway with no response from management. If you want a spring break hotel with lots of partying and poor service, then this is your place!

Lovely hotel, wonderful service! It was a very clean facility & short walk to restaurants and shopping. The only thing I was not fond of was the dark hotel rooms. The rooms are painted a darker color orange with no overhead lights. It was great for sleeping but I didn't care for it during the daylight hours. Rooms were extremely clean and housekeeping did a great job! The pool area & bar was beautiful and hotel bar was great! Very friendly bar staff in both places.

My check in process was very strange - someone checked in with my reservation and my room was occupied by someone else. Had to wait a long time to get to the room as a result. The new room smelled moldy and was very dark. Additionally, the elevators are funky and do not go up or down from the roof frequently enough. Was stuff on the roof for a while.

The service was friendly and efficient. The room was like staying in a cave. With all the lights on it was still a cave. The outside terrace smelled like cat liter and even though they cleaned it, the smell stayed (maybe it is mold?). There was a wedding on Saturday night and the music went until 12:30, a pounding bass that prevented sleep. I would never recommend someone to stay there.

We had a pipe leaking from the bathroom that flooded the room in certain areas. Things happen we understand. The staff came right away and handled the issue and the manager was very compassionate and gave us a full refund on the room. So we will come back and stay here again at this beautiful hotel due to the fact of how Mayfair Hotel treated us during the stay. Thanks again to the staff and manager Robert. Kind souls all around. They care and it showed.

We were excited to stay in a five star hotel but unfortunately the service was three star. No doubt the property is beautiful and thats what you are paying for. There were a number of things we had to request, even toilet paper. It would take an hour or two to get anything and somethings like coffee were never received. Our streaming tv did not work and we reported it on the first day. Three days later it still did not work. Fortunately, the location is great and we enjoyed our trip to Coconut Grove

There was construction all day long, very noisy. Started at 7:00am. Hotel must have known about it but didn’t mention anything to us upon our arrival. This is so unethical. We asked for another room. They told us they were sold out.

Beautiful property. I did wait a while for a room to be ready but had a drink in their courtyard while i waited. Was thrilled they have me an upgraded room to a corner suite. Huge space, well appointed, liked the soaking tub and the ability to swivel the tv between the tub and the bed. I would love to return, stay longer to enjoy more amenities, explore that area.
