Excellent stay at a unique location within driving distance of several National Parks and numerous other outdoor wonders. Host was easy to contact and provided much appreciated suggestions for local activities. Cabin and tent were clean, nicely decorated and well stocked. Highly recommend!

Everything was absolutely wonderful and thought out to the smallest detail — very comfortable, easy to find, quiet, and truly one with nature. The only thing that slightly changed our plans was a bit of rain. We were driving a regular sedan, so we were worried about getting out afterward, but everything went great! I want to come back here and see the starry sky! 10 out of 10!

Stayed here when wanting to explore Monument Valley and I can say it was truly one of the most unique and special places I’ve ever stayed. The host was absolutely amazing and super kind, responsive, and very informative! The cabin itself was very clean and so secluded. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for their own little hideaway in the canyons!

We absolutely loved our stay. It was magical! We stopped through on a long roadtrip with 2 kids and it did not disappoint. Immaculate inside and out. Has everything you need. The quiet was other worldly. We enjoyed making pizzas in the pizza oven and watching the sunrise and sunset.

We spent 3 nights at this very special property and loved it. We enjoyed the solitude of the property, cooking in the outdoor kitchen and exploring via e-bike. We also really enjoyed venturing out into the surrounding area - lots to see and do without dealing with crowds. The property is well outfitted for comfort and cooking great meals. Communicating with our host was clear and easy. We would happily come back again!

This is a remarkable property: a small modernist cabin and adjacent large tent, perched on the edge of a sage-brush plain overlooking the Bears Ears that give this national monument its name. Every detail is designed for both beauty and practicality. It’s simultaneously primitive and luxurious. The listing photos do not quite capture how spectacular it is. Anyone who gets to spend a few nights here is fortunate indeed.

very unique experience, being in the middle of nowhere. the host thought of everything we need in a short stay - clean rooms, good lighting that's easy to control at night, well stocked kitchen. It's hard to believe this is an entirely off-grid property. Getting there was a little nerve-wrecking because we had to go up Moki Dugway, the free-range cows, and the long dirt roads made us a little nervous, but once we got there it was perfect,

Even though this is a Tiny House, our family of 6 had enough space to spread out! It is just as amazing as the pictures, maybe even better. The EBikes were enjoyed as well.

Dark Canyon was indeed a great off grid experience. The 360-degree views around the cabin with no other humans around offered something not found very often. Sitting on the deck at sunset while enjoying a glass of whiskey and looking at the Bears Ears was truly a western experience. The sunrises make you want to get up early just to experience the beauty. It makes you understand the use of pink and turquoise in the Native American art of this region. The wildlife around the cabin was wonderful. At night the howling of the coyotes and bugling of the elk and the deer grazing by the cabin was so nice, it let us know we were the visitors to the area, they owned it. The fact the cabin was dog friendly and we were able to travel with our two dogs made the trip for us. They are large dogs and enjoy hiking and being with us. They are well trained to not bother the wildlife, this would be essential in this area.
