Bare Bones. A place to lay your head for a night. No frills. Not soundproof ( I could hear every word my neighbor said and anyone that was in the hall), the Wi-Fi doesn't extend to the end rooms, and there is NO parking... Only paid Street parking, if you're lucky enough to get a spot. And breakfast was croissants, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast and coffee. I recommend spending your money elsewhere.

The room itself was okay, if very bare, and there was no information about anything. Although there was a fridge for our use (and some bottled water provided) there was no kettle and no access to the kitchen until breakfast time the next day, so we couldn't make tea. We were admitted to the building when we arrived, but not welcomed. Reception desk was unstaffed, nobody around to greet us or give us any information. The building looked quite neglected. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good.

This was our least favorite stay of all 8 locations we visited. The BED was horrible! So hard… like wood with a sheet on it on top of a plastic platform. The bed literally squeaked with any move you made. We could NOT sleep. The walls were paper thin. So as far as location it was fine. Matter of fact there was an awesome GF bakery around the corner… it was wonderful. As for being a place to sleep they need to consider putting money into the sleeping portion of the room. The bathroom needed help as well. The large shower had a tiny small glass half wall and all the water would ended up on the floor. Just poor craftsmanship. We LOVED Messina just look elsewhere for a comfortable night sleep.

Not much to recommend it other than location.

Very strange place with no customer service. Not sure it belongs on hotels.com as it is more of a self serve room in a hallway of 6 rooms. No person on site to greet you, rooms very spartan without even a drinking glass. Hard bed, decent linens. But the location was perfect for making connections between the ferry and the train.

There was nothing really ‘wrong’ with the property. It was very clean and close to the train station. We weren’t on the Main Street, but on the side street and it was still a bit noisy (but quiet between 12 am and 7 am). I gave the property 3 stars due to the fact the the host was a bit hard to get a hold of-when I reached him by phone, he didn’t seem to know why I was calling and I had messaged him a few times on Expedia; they had issues with our card to pay (our credit card company had no record of them attempting a transaction, and he only wanted cash); the breakfast was very simple, but still ok; his co-host was not ‘UNfriendly,’ he just wasn’t friendly at all (not more than one word from him in the morning; the bed was very hard. But overall, a solid 3 out of 5. And good value what they charged. A good place for one night, but not any longer.

Die Unterkunft hat eine super Lage und es ist alles in der Nähe zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Zimmer ist relativ groß. Einzige, was gestört hat, ist, dass das Bett knarrte.

Bonne chambre mais service a revoir !

Difficil d'avoir acces a la chambre .il faut savoir que tout se passe par telephone ....nous devions avoir la chambre a 14h .mais nous etions a la porte....nous sommes revenus 1h15 pllus tard .personnes pour nous ouvriren bas de l'immeuble.seul notre appel a declanchè a distance l'ouverture de la porte. Donc aucun acceuil physique, dècevant. La chambre est tres bien grande et propre. Le petit dejeuner tres simple et le service lugubre..... Finalement seule la chambre est parfaite msis cotè servive et humanitè il faut vraiment s'ameliorer....et c'est dommage !!! Un hotel avec un personel sur place x'est plus efficace .
