"No Hot Water Marginal Breakfast"

"When you rent a tiny one-room house in a field you don't expect perfect conditions, but you expect a place where you can sleep, and a host who responds to big problems. Unfortunately you can't count on that with this host, even though we found a bed that had partially collapsed through the floorboards. We were willing to overlook: that the dishes were so dusty we had to wash them before using, that the shower was just a strong trickle, that there were moldy spots on the walls near the ceiling and on the a/c vent from humidity, even the big hole in the house skirting that explains the animals we heard moving around under the house at night. But WE EXPECTED A WORKING BED. The middle support under the bed had broken through the floorboards, causing the middle of the bed to collapse into the floor. There was a deep dip making it really terrible to try to sleep on. We contacted them--twice--to ask for a fix, and sent pictures to show it only needed a piece of wood or something across the hole to prop the bed back up. But although they said that they "notified their team" nobody showed up. After we checked out and complained they offered 15% off a future stay, and when we asked instead for a partial refund they said they would give 15% back but 2 days later it hasn't showed up. We paid over 450 to have a place to sleep for 2 nights but didn't get it. Renter beware."

"We had a wedding nearby, with four generations of family that needed a place to stay, and this place was perfect! Great job restoring the house that's over 160 years old! House is well decorated and furnished, with everything you need - very modern, despite being an old house. House and barn are on several acres, with tons of seating, a couple of different grills, toys and play areas for kids of all ages. The owner provided great information and recommendations, and was incredibly responsive with any questions we had. We don't hesitate at all giving the highest recommendation possible!"

"3 of us had a wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse out in the Country. Was able to cook a nice meal in the fully stocked kitchen and have a relaxing nights sleep in the super comfy bed. Beautiful large soaking tub was a plus after day 1 of the MS 150 bike ride. Spent most of the night on very large back patio with the two friendly farm cats looking up at the night sky. Perfect spot for those looking to unwind."

"Yes. The hot tub was perfect temperature we put our feet in it this morning on the last day unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy the pool and the hot tub every day because of the pouring down rain."

"The place was adorable and the beds were comfortable. Our families were comfortable with the setup and space. We didn’t expect pristine since this was a country setting and expected bugs, spiders and such. Having said, there were some simple things that would have made it better. There were blood stains on the queen room sheets we discovered on the first night. There was lots of burnt out light bulbs and bug, dust spider web accumulated in light fixtures which made it feel not very clean. The bathroom door handle was difficult to use and came off several times during the stay that we fixed as best we could. The same bathroom had toothbrush splatter on the mirrors when we arrived which maybe have been overlooked by cleaning crew. Lastly, there were random left behind items in drawers like a tooth tray and such which made unpacking uncomfortable. I recommend the cleaning crew check those small things which has a big impact on the perception of cleanliness. Overall it was a lovely place but felt like it needed a good deep clean and regular dusting of light fixtures which is an easy fix to make it a wonderful place to stay."
