"We live in Campeche Mx so always stay at the hotel when flying into and out of the Merida Airport. Checking in is easy with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are clean but dated. Beds are comfortable with quality bedding. We appreciate the coffee pot & coffee in the room for those early trips to the airport. ( a pouch of decaf would be a welcome addition) The grounds, pool, swings and hammocks are welcoming both day and night ( beautiful lighting) We also appreciate being able to leave our car in the secure parking area behind the hotel for a minimal charge. Our only complaint is the slow restaurant service despite there only being 12 people in the entire restaurant and 3 waiters...1 hr for a pizza and a lukewarm bowl of disappointing sopa de lima. I sent it back to be warmed up only to receive a hot bowl of mushy tortillas with more on top. I sent it back and refused to pay for it. I did not order anything else because we did not have another hour to wait. This is not the first time the service has been slow even for the reordering of beverages when we want to enjoy a few cervezas...Finally, it was a very hot night but the air-conditioned part of the restaurant was not available. This being the case they could have made sure our beverages were never empty ! We will continue to stay at the hotel with a plan to have food delivered from outside. We know there is a sign at the front desk prohibiting this but we feel we have no choice unless something changes at the restaurant."
