"I deliberately chose this place for several reasons. Our group was comprised of 4 couples. The house provided ample room and privacy for our group. The location of the house made it possible to do day trips with no driving time over two hours. There were excellent restaurants nearby and all without tourist crowds. We were able to visit Arezzo, Perugia, Asissi, Orvieto, Paenza, Florence, Cortona, Siena as well as going on a wine tasting and a cheese tasting tours at nearby locations. In...

"Fantastic place! Breakfast was so delicious I wish I could have eaten more. The place has a lot of really wonderful details- the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on, great shower, great hairdyer, even the shower gel smelled amazing!"

"Loved our time at Borghetto Calcinaia. We enjoyed the pool, views of the lake, the gardens, the nearby towns. Ben was very helpful and we were delighted to have food at the house when we arrived. The property had everything we needed and it's very comfortable. Can't wait to return!"

"We were allowed to be guests of Simonetta and Pier Francesco for the second time and were again able to spend three wonderful weeks there. Everything was again well prepared for our stay, everything was clean, everything was lovingly furnished, we felt right at home. "Beautiful house surrounded by large and secluded garden. Huge pool suited everyone’s needs in party ranging in age from 7 to 78. Perfect for sitting out and eating. We had some problems due to illness before we went. Owners were exceptionally helpful in dealing with these and made our stay perfect. Pool and grounds very well maintained throughout our stay. Online listing could be clearer about payment for electricity. Overall an excellent place to holiday with very helpful owners. "
