We had a great little weekend get away here! The house was beautiful and perfect for our group. We utilized the hot tub and fire pit. Very thankful for this place and John’s quick reply to my messages.
Everything was wonderful! Cute cabin next to a pretty pond fully stocked with fish, a hot tub, and a nice fire pit to enjoy. The owner is very kind and helpful
This was such a relaxing stay. The property was great. The hot tub was an added plus. Just no words to explain how relaxing the stay way and the views.
Great cabin, plenty of room for 4 adults, 4 Harley’s, ate at The Wildflower Friday night, wonderful place and great service! Saturday we took off on the Harley’s explored many areas arrived back to cabin late that evening relaxed in the hot tub! Great weekend getaway❤️
Just a few small hiccups in communication and dated fixtures but all in all a great value and very clean. I would rent this again without any hesitation.

Liked: Communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Check in: We checked 1.5 hours after check in time and the cleaner was still there. I wish the host communicated this when I called an hour out to ask for check in instructions.
Cabin description: It said three bedrooms, there was only one bedroom with a door, the other two were lofts. The third loft had exposed electrical outlet and the ladder/stairs were wobbly. Only one shower in the cabin, other bathroom had only a tub. The fireplace had the glass pane missing, the host said it was still usable, but we didn’t feel comfortable. The sofa bed was dirty and the other couple didn’t want their kids to sleep on it. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, there was no cabin space. The front loader washer had mildew and required high efficiency detergent. The kids loved the hot tub and we enjoyed the fire pit. We used the grill and loved sitting on the porch drinking coffee. It was so cold the first day and the heater didn’t stay on during the night or when we left and came back, it got down to low 60s, but the next day was warmer. Host said it was climate controlled. Lake nearby was awesome, my son enjoyed fishing and using the canoe and kayaks. Only one TV in the living room, not enough seating for 8 people, only one couch, one arm chair and one recliner that didn’t recline all the way. Close to parks, beautiful property, just surprised at size and other issues mentioned above. Wouldn’t stay here again with 8 people.4 adults, 4 kids and 3 dogs.
My family (my husband, our 3 kids, my parents, and me) came for 6 days. Every single one of us enjoyed our stay. It was beautiful, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The hot tub, lake, and porch swing beds were well loved features. We began discussing when we could return within the first few days!
We had a great time at this wonderful cabin in Mentone. There is a pond for boating and fishing, great local restaurants nearby, and quick access to the Desoto State Park. The cabin is located in a very quiet and peaceful area. The town of Fort Payne is not too far away for more activities, shopping and museums. We look forward to our next visit!
Everything was awesome! Enjoyed our morning walks, kids loved fishing the pond, playing corn hole, making s’more’s at the fire pit and the hot tub. Numerous hiking trails and zip lining right around the corner, which is why we chose the area. Manager of the property was amazing and Happy Birthday again!
This cabin is clean, charming, and perfect for a small group! The area is laid back but there are plenty of things to do. The owner gives great recommendations and provides lots of essentials at the cabin. This is my second time staying here, and I’d gladly come again! Great communication without being overbearing. 10/10
Unique and fun cabin layout. Perfect combo of rustic, antique and classic southern decor. Clean and comfortable. We had everything that we needed for a relaxing weekend. Stayed cozy by the fire and enjoyed the hot tub. Very nice!
The rustic and friendly cabin is the picturesque vibe one expects while staying in Mentone. We loved the jacuzzi, bed swing upstairs and the space(3 stories). It was nice to be within a few minutes to downtown Mentone, DeSota Falls, the park for trails, and even the Dollar General and Dollar Tree. The only closed off bedroom is the master, which was a bit of an adjustment, but there is plenty of space for bedding down. I would recommend this vrbo. Thank you!
The cabin was cozy and clean. You do have quite a few neighbors around, however this cabin probably had the most privacy. There is plenty of space for parking. There is a lake for fishing and you have to walk on the side yard of the cabin located in front of you to get to it. It's a shared lake with multiple cabins located around the lake. The cabin is in a great location to access Fort Payne, and Chattanooga. The larger bedroom is downstairs and the others are up a flight of steep upstairs. There is no privacy with the beds up stairs, that rooms are all open. The downstairs bedroom is small but comfortable. There seems to be a issue with the plumbing when you flush the toilet or take a shower. It makes a loud noise. My family and I would laugh every time someone flushed the toilet because it sounded like a steamboat for a few seconds. Perhaps the owners should take a look at this issue. The back door ramp looks newly built but the wooden deck around the hot tub is super slippery when wet due to mildew. Overall the property and cabin are great. Perfect little vacation for a small family.

Beautiful house that was perfect for a large group!
This cabin was perfect for us! Plenty of beds and baths. A great hot tub! Cozy for family/friend time and convenient to DeSoto State Park! The host was welcoming and very responsive to my questions. We’ll definitely be back!
Enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin near DeSoto Falls, Cloudland Canyon, and Rock City. Friendly host and great proximity to beautiful parks. Highly recommend the horseback ride at Shady Grove ranch.
We had a great time. Cabin was easy to find. It was sufficiently stocked. We loved that there were board games. Beds were comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the recliner in the living room. In sum, we enjoyed, ate, drank, & were merry. Thank you, John!
