Beautiful Triple-Lofted Lakeside Cabin near Downtown Mentone Sleeps 9

Kowaliga

Guests are sure to enjoy this fully furnished, lakeside cabin built from the Poplar and Wormy Maple trees that once stood in its place. This 1 bedroom/2 bath mountain cabin features one private bedroom with a queen-sized bed, while the remaining beds (1 full-sized bed, 3 single beds) are located in the loft spaces. There is also a double sleeper sofa in the stunning living room, which is also furnished with a recliner and mounted television(smart tv) over the monumental stone framed wood-burning fireplace. There are 2 double size swinging beds on the 2nd story exterior porch, perfect taking in a relaxing sunset or an afternoon nap. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric stove, microwave, Keurig coffee maker (pods not included) basic cooking utensils, griddle and a full size refrigerator. If that grilled-over-the-campfire flavor is what you crave, a classic charcoal weber grill awaits out back, just remember to bring your favorite briquettes with you!

Unwind at the end of the day with a soothing soak under the stars in the jacuzzi on the back deck, or a tell stories and share laughs around the fire pit in the back yard.
The property is just minutes away from the heart of Mentone where many wonderful attractions can be experienced. Whether in town, hiking trails around DeSoto Falls, or back at the cabin, guests of Kowiliga will certainly forge lasting memories of their vacation on Lookout Mountain.

Great cabin, plenty of room for 4 adults, 4 Harley’s, ate at The Wildflower Friday night, wonderful place and great service! Saturday we took off on the Harley’s explored many areas arrived back to cabin late that evening relaxed in the hot tub! Great weekend getaway❤️

Quiet Getaway

My family (my husband, our 3 kids, my parents, and me) came for 6 days. Every single one of us enjoyed our stay. It was beautiful, quiet, clean, and comfortable. The hot tub, lake, and porch swing beds were well loved features. We began discussing when we could return within the first few days!

Cozy and Quaint

This was the perfect little cottage for our yearly trip to Mentone. The space is cozy and comfortable and the hot tub was a nice bonus! Bringing home special new memories.

Cool place. Internet and cell reception sketchy though, not an issue on a mountain vacation, unless you need to work a bit. Clean, comfortable and relatively roomy. Quite, peaceful setting...owner is very nice and helpful.

Enjoyed the front porch and the hot tub. Needs a little TLC with yard and piles of items.

Loved the front porch and the hot tub. We enjoyed our stay, cozy and clean. Needs some TLC pertaining to the yard. Didn't realize that we'd be in such close proximity with neighboring cabins, but no issues whatsoever.

Cozy and convenient family gathering

The rustic and friendly cabin is the picturesque vibe one expects while staying in Mentone. We loved the jacuzzi, bed swing upstairs and the space(3 stories). It was nice to be within a few minutes to downtown Mentone, DeSota Falls, the park for trails, and even the Dollar General and Dollar Tree. The only closed off bedroom is the master, which was a bit of an adjustment, but there is plenty of space for bedding down. I would recommend this vrbo. Thank you!

Peaceful stay

This is a really beautiful property. Check in was extremely easy. We never had any need to reach out to the owner because everything was clean, comfortable and working perfectly. The location is perfect , it is so close to town, but still feels remote. Make sure to blow up those air mattresses and use the porch swing beds , that ended up being our favorite spot, it was a great place to hang out at night with my 8 year old son and look at the stars and listen to nature once we were done in the afternoons with exploring and playing outside all day. There are some other cabins in the area that are there with this one, but there are some large trees in between and the other cabins main hang out areas are on the opposite side of where the balcony with the porch swing beds. The hot tub is on the back right by the fire pit which made is absolutely perfect for throwing ourselves a little party with the cornhole boards out, hot tub going, fire pit burning, comfortable outdoor furniture and a grill all in the back of the cabin. Even with a large group in the cabin by us we never felt crowded or like we didn't have privacy. It really is a perfect setup. My family highly recommends it to anybody considering booking.

Beautiful Cabin

My family greatly enjoyed our stay. The kids did love the swinging beds. They also greatly enjoyed their time fishing and canoeing around the lake. We had lots of relaxation. Do plan on wifi and cable being non existent this is not a negative as I expected it and nobody was disappointed. There are hot spots you can get a little wifi and one bar in. I have kids who are 14,13,11 and 3 and I was glad the tween and teens had to unplug!!

Great Family Vacay!

Lots to do, went to DeSoto Falls, fishing on private lake, camp fires & hot tob. Lots of family board games, corn hole. Will be back.

Enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin near DeSoto Falls, Cloudland Canyon, and Rock City. Friendly host and great proximity to beautiful parks. Highly recommend the horseback ride at Shady Grove ranch.

Perfect spot for family fun

First let me so communication with the host was top notice. Our family enjoyed canoeing/ kayaking in the lake and lots of fun spent around the campfire and hot tub. One of the main attractions is only 7 minutes away and the other is 25.
