If you smoke, like we do, you will enjoy this place, as outside ashtrays are on both front and back porch. "

"The property is ideally situated near the water fall - it is literally in the back yard to view. To hike to get a better look , you are short walk away from it and the scenic trails—once we parked, we didn’t feel the need to leave. It’s incredibly peaceful and serene, making it the perfect escape for a quiet weekend getaway. You can shop for groceries at the little downtown store or go to Fort Payne-if you need more variety. Downtown feels like something out of a storybook: charming, small, and full of character. The owner has thoughtfully considered every detail to ensure the perfect aesthetic vibe along with a comfortable and memorable stay. We highly recommend it and truly can’t imagine a better place to experience the beauty of Mentone. "
