Beautiful private Tainter Lake Retreat in Western WI. Sleeps 10

Getaway with the whole family in our gorgeous Chalet style lake retreat! Or escape the hustle and bustle to enjoy a fun, relaxing, peaceful getaway for business or recreation. This property is at the very end of a private dead end road on a very large 1.4 acre lot. Sleeps 10 guests(8 adults maximum, 10 guests total). 3 bedrooms, large sleeping loft, 8 beds, 2 baths, 2 full kitchens and living rooms and an open concept on main floor with fireplace, very large walk out deck overlooking the lake. Large windows surround the house to enjoy all the wildlife on the river and all around the property. Great for multi family vacations.

You'll love the durable laminate floors, granite countertops, large window views and rustic but modern feel that makes this place so cozy!

The property is located within a quick on foot stroll to Western Wisconsin's premier supper club, Jake's. Jake's has three decks and a fabulous Tiki bar over looking the lake with live bands every weekend in the summer months. Pioneer Bar & Grill is across the road from Jake's Supper Club, in a country setting with great entertainment!

There are nearby restaurants that are accessible by water or land.
Elk Point Resort is easy access by boat or vehicle. Elk Point Resort has karaoke every Saturday night and put on the BEST firework show every year on July 3rd. Great food and fun atmosphere!

Tainter Lake is approximately a 1605 acre lake located in Dunn county. It has a maximum depth of about 37 feet. Depending on the weather in the summer months, the water clarity can be low due to algae growth. Later in the summer months this lake tends to get a bit green. May until early July are the best months to enjoy swimming. Still a great size lake for boating, kayaking and fishing!

Delander Dolls annual trip

The house was beautiful! We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and felt at home! Bars/ restaurants were super close. Great place - we will be back!

A wonderful family cabin!

The cabin was clean, spacious, and a cozy place to relax! The kitchen and dining space made for a great place to make family meals together. We enjoyed renting the pontoon and cruising around the lake. The property has many different outside gathering spaces that we took full advantage of! We had 10 adults and 2 kids and this cabin fit us all comfortably. We had a wonderful stay- thank you for creating a warm and inviting cabin for families to create memories in!

Great family lake house

We enjoyed our stay! The loft was great for my son and his 3 cousins to sleep with each of them in their own beds! The kitchen was well equipped, so we cooked breakfast and dinner! Because the weather wasn’t great we enjoyed staying in and playing board games and card games with the kids!

Peaceful house on the lake

My family and I were in town for a wedding and this place was excellent for everyone. There was plenty to keep all ages busy. The family enjoyed the place so much there was a lot of conversations about future vacations at a lake!!! Thanks Teresa!

Great house for a large group

We had a great time at this property. Teresa was friendly and easy to work with. The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. It has lots of places to gather as a family inside and outside that we enjoyed. It sleeps a lot, so worked great for us. We would definitely go back. Highly recommend.

Family 4th of July fun getaway:)

We had a fantastic time. Communication before and during our visit was exceptional. The property was very clean and provided everything we needed. We also utilized the pontoon boat. Very beautiful lake. Kids loved the boat rides. Loved having 2 kitchens. There were also to different areas to enjoy a campfire. Highly recommend this property:)

Perfection

This is my second stay and another 5 star rating. There was a huge storm in the afternoon of check in and a large tree nearly blocked the drive. After a call to home owners, they quickly arrived with a chain saw and drive was clear. Such amazing service!I love this house and it is perfect for our gathering of friends for a horse show weekend!

Wonderful family getaway

This Tainter Lake Retreat was truly a wonderful experience for bringing family together for a summer getaway. The hosts were so accommodating and easy to work with and our experience at the cabin were more than exceeded. We enjoyed the size of the home to have the different families each have a separate space but then a large main area to gather and enjoy. We loved having the two kitchens to help prop for some larger meals. The place was very clean and well maintained. We loved our time cruisong on the water as it really is a beautiful lake. The property is beautiful on the end of the private drive.

Great property

The property and host were great. The waterfront was pretty green, but the lake itself was nice. Big plus for big groups: never ran out of hot water when doing showers for 6 adults and 7 children! Grill could be upgraded, but otherwise basically everything but groceries was provided. Take advantage of the boat!

Family Time

We all had a great time. Caught some pretty big fish, weather was hot, but not rainy. Pontoon was nice and big for everyone to come aboard. House had lots of room and with 2 kitchens the extra refrigerator was a blessing. Communication with the owners was excellent.

Son’s Wedding

What an amazing property. We had enough room for our family and friends to stay at this location to celebrate our son’s wedding. We had plenty of room to cook & prepare the homemade desserts. The 2 kitchens were a huge bonus. Highly recommended for vacation with a large group.

Lovely spot on the lake, perfect for spending time with family.

House is well equipped with everything you need. Check in was smooth and we really enjoyed having big table in open kitchen & family room as well as the deck to hang out together as a family. We did try to contact owner several times during our stay to inquire about kayaks that are said to be available for you stay. It was one of the reasons we booked this location but we never got a response and there were no kayaks which was the only disappointment we encountered in missing time on the water on a long weekend with lovely weather. We did sit on the dock a lot and would rent the pontoon if we returned. Jake's was great we walked down to eat twice.

My friends and I stayed at this location for a couple nights and it was great! They allowed us to use some of their firewood, which was nice due to the weather. Great driveway for beanbags. Close to restaurant and a bar to walk to. The set up was, great inside as well. We will probably look to stay there again next year.

Relaxing on the lake!!

Our stay at this lakefront cottage was fantastic! The location is ideal—quiet, peaceful, and right on the water, offering beautiful scenery and the perfect spot for relaxation. Spacious and lovely

Eight women stayed for a three day weekend. The house was perfect for our needs with lots of beds and two kitchens! The setting is peaceful and beautiful. We spent one evening on the deck relaxing and listening to night noises. The flowers are stunning and much attention has been given to ensure you’ll have everything you need. We will be back!

This beautiful lakeshore home was perfect for the whole family, everyone had their own special space.Morning coffee on the deck or campfires at night were the perfect way to end the day. Close to Jake’s supper club a Wisconsin tradition. The owner many beautiful flowers to appreciate. I look forward to returning.
