"We stayed 3 nights March 2024 and it was absolutely fabulous! Our hostess made us very welcome, all spotlessly clean, fab breakfast and rolls to takeaway for lunchtime. It's a great location to pay your respects at the WW1 war graves and to visit the museums. Ypres is a wonderful town with excellent local restaurants, chocolate shops and obviously the Menin Bridge with the 8pm "Last Post" every evening. It was a shame that the bridge is currently covered for renovations but this didn't detract...

"The "shared common area" with 7 private rooms is a great set up. The property is beautiful, and the place is very well stocked with everything you'll need. A great location for a larger group to book the entire venue. We plan to return with a group for Ronde van Vlaanderen. "

The grounds were beautiful with many different sitting areas in a park like setting. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. "Christine and Olivier have a lovely house and have made it comfortable and welcoming for guests. We really enjoyed our stay, the room was big and airy with a super bed. There is tea and coffee provided and breakfast was just right. We had dinner in Nieppe one night and also in the Chaplin bar across in Belgium. There is a Hyper-U just by the highway if you are looking for bargains ahead of the ferry home. We cycled in to Lille along the canal which was very enjoyable. The park opposite is nice...

"Change of ownership seems to have reduced the quality of service. The hob and pans would not work as they had not been cleaned properly to work with induction. The hairdryer had been removed from the bathroom - had to go to reception to request a loan and told to return to reception. Breakfast was a very poor offering - no fresh baguettes, only over cooked petit pain etc etc. Toaster, but no sliced bread - very disappointing.
