I walked away after going into one of the rooms. It had roaches roaming around. Didn’t check for bed bugs but I am certain they were there. The area seemed unsafe and it took an Uber 20 mins to arrive.

The room was clean enough, and the bed was comfortable enough. There wasn’t hot water in the bathroom, but the two lamps in the room did not work and there was no remote for the television to turn it off or on just a remote for the cable.

America's Best in Memphis Review
My stay at America's Best Hotel in Memphis was very less than satisfactory. The room had roaches. The bed was soiled and had what looked like a blood stain. The guy on duty changed the bedding which was a little better until roaches started walking around everywhere.

Trash all the way around the hotel they did not offer breakfast ac worked great and they kept your vehicle secured inside a gate which was nice

The main issue was the smell in the room . It smelled like human urine . It didn’t feel clean at all ! You couldn’t just walk into the lobby to check in , the clerk was hiding behind glass , and parking was inside a gate which I guess was a good thing.I saw a prostitute getting in and out of cars on the corner . Dumpy old furniture all around the hotel . I sprayed the room down with Lysol and cleaned the bathroom myself to deal with it . I was tired it was late and just fell asleep. Not a place would stay again . Scary !

Let me start by saying that during my 2 night stay I had occasion to have interaction with 3 different clerks. They were all very nice and extremely helpful. I could not have asked for more in that department. The room, however, was a different story. Very dirty. Nasty something on the wall in the bathroom. Bed was lumpy and hard and the washcloths were so disgusting that we used the hand towels for washcloths. We stayed 2 nights and when we got back to our room for the second night we found that we had not had any maid service. Beds not made, room not cleaned and no new towels at all. Do not stay here! The only reason I gave this hotel any kind of mediocre rating was because of the kindness of the front desk people.

The only thing good was the bed very comfortable. They charged $10 extra for the dog. Which was fine just wish pet fees would be included on the website. Could have been cleaner. No food on site.

It was in a questionable neighborhood. The parking was inside a gate. We were supposed to be in a non-smoking room, but the first room we had wreaked of smoke. we complained and were moved to a different room. It smelled cleaner. We decided to order in so I prepared for an early shower. When I went to use the toilet, it was dirty. There was crap (literally) stuck all inside the bowl. The towels in the room all felt damp and did not look exceptionally clean. Someone stood outside our window after we went to bed and talked loudly then came in the door spaking just as loudly. Earlier in the evening, there had been kids running up and down the hall yelling.

My room smelled pretty bad, there was pink mould in the shower, and stains on the bedding. It was the last room left and it was very late at night so I just put up with it and left as early in the morning as possible. On the plus side, they do have secure parking.

Although the rooms were very clean the lack of being able to make hot tea of coffee wasn't there. Instead having to go were the breakfast was and there was luke warm coffee without fresh milk lack of tea spoons for one staff member it seem to be a hassle to get. so no we will not be returning there.

They are on the right track with their renovations, but still have quite a ways to go. Lots of old furniture and garage piled up outside, the key entry for the side door didn't work, there were burn holes in the bedspread, pillows on the bed didn't match, shower curtain hadn't been washed in a while, little things like that.

It don’t appear unclean but once I told them that there was bedbugs and request refund I was left to stay another night !! However they did change my room it’s just that they became very rude as tho it was my fault of the situation

The sheets were crumpled up at the foot of the bed. I’m not sure if they were not clean or if someone did not know how to make a bed. The towels were small, scratchy, and worn. There were dirty tissues in the Kleenex box.
