Simple hotel, best location in Melbourne

Amazing location; walking distance to free trams, shopping shopping shopping and many eateries. Stayed in a Queen room with my partner. Just a simple room with the basics, perfect if you plan on spending most of your time doing activities out and about (although did spend one night in watching TV and had no issues). Nice bathroom, comfy bed, big desk. One con: can hear everything going on in the bathroom if you were sitting in the room (so would usually put the TV on to save my ears), and can also hear the water when the room above flushes their toilet.

Clean hotel in nice location

Pros: This hotel is few meters from Emporium Mall, China Town, QV Centre, University and walking distance to Bourke St Malls and south bank etc.
Cons: Improve customer service, really welcome club members like you mean it. This place need serious customer service training. All other things, perfect!

Mecure Welcome is a nice, tidy, clean, centrally located and comfortable hotel in Melbourne CBD. Its affordable too if you book early. The reservations staff and some front office staff needs customer service training. I didn't feel welcomed at Mecure Welcome. However, 2 people stood out who took the matter seriously and turned around a unhappy customer. Mecure Welcome otherwise is a very good hotel in the middle of all the happenings, meters away from China Town.

Overrated, not clean, unpleasant, location ok but not more than that. Will never come back nor to any other Mercure hotel. Couldn't breathe at night. One word: terrrrrrible

Bed not so good this time.

Pros: It's a very convenient place to stay. Very central to everything we needed to do.
Cons: Update the bed and bedding
Location: Great access to shopping and Shows.
Have stayed at this motel before and it was very comfortable but this stay there were broken springs in the bed and the pillows were old and lumpy. The room and public areas were very clean.

Very good location

It is near flinders street train station and close to the shopping Malls. Just to note there are no shower gels provided, just bars of soap. Also, no oral kit is provided, in case you are wondering. They do provide shampoo and conditioner. The walls are thin though, so I can always hear doors opening elsewhere.

Very good positon for the city and Rail

Pros: Cost effectiveness Near Flinders station
Cons: Windows need cleaning and sheer curtains need replacing Would be nice if a chair could be fitted in
Location: We were attending Equitana great for that as walking distance to the rail which ran directly to the Show grounds
Very pleasant all staff welcoming and helpful. Reception person on desk when checking out exceptional and very efficient. Also bag store staff . We enjoyed our stay

Great spot central in Melbourne.

Great spot for access, friendly staff. Our room on 6th floor needs a makeover. Taps in shower falling off and door to bathroom wouldn't stay closed without jamming a towel to it. It is dated, but on bright side AC was great and clean towels. OK breakfast for $20 and access to tea and coffee and hot chocolate any time.

The pipes in the room above were hammering together when water used. Also everytime room above used toilet n flushed it sounded very loud like they were in our room. We do love staying here though.

Mosquitoes and good hotel staff

The location of the hotel is very good. Walkable to the skybus terminal and flinders street station. The hotel room has mosquitoes. I killed 3. The guest before me killed at least 1. I know because a leaflet placed on my bed had the dead mosquito behind it. The room does not feel very clean to be honest, though the bed was clean, which I am thankful for. I gave this feedback to the concierge and they were apologetic about it. I would stay again in the same hotel a few days later and they gave me a free upgrade, which is a nice gesture. They do not provide shower gels nor an oral kit. They do provide soap bars and a shampoo and a conditioner.

Great Hotel very Central in Melbourne.

Pros: Been so central in Melbourne to everything.
Cons: It's a bit tired, but obviously a well used Hotel. Maybe some new carpet!
Location: Close to David Jones, Myers, Federation square. Flinders Street and Queen Victoria Market. It's one of the best hotels for location!
This is a must stay Hotel. It's so central in Melbourne to everything, trams, trains and buses, Flinders Street and Queen Victoria Market. Would go back there in a blink. Hotel staff are so friendly and happy to help in any way. Lovely cleaners who make up the rooms.
