Selten so enttäuscht. Als 4-Stern ausgezeichnet, ist das Sauvage auf Jugendherberge-Niveau einzustufen. Lausigster Chef de Service, der uns um kurz vor 21.00 Uhr den Zutritt zum Restaurant verweigerte (Sie sind zu spät, jedoch gab es keine Zeiteinschränkung und sowieso Buffet, welches noch vollumfänglich aufgestellt war), genauso unfreundlich beim Frühstück, fehlende Badezimmer-Bodenkacheln (drunter Mörtel), kostenpflichtiges W-Lan, pro Device (!), Betten auf Rollen. Niemehr.

der erste Eindruck täuscht...

Ende Juli 2013 hatten wir eine Übernachtung im 4-Sterne Parkhotel du Sauvage in Meiringen gebucht. Leider war der Aufenthalt sehr enttäuschend. Unserer Meinung nach, entsprachen weder Ausstattung, Sauberkeit, Qualität der Esswaren, noch die Freundlichkeit des Personals dem Standard eines 4-Sterne Hotels. Hierzu einige Beispiele: - Das Bad war in einem sanierungsbedürftigen Zustand: beschädigte bzw. fehlende Fliesen, von der Feuchtigkeit aufgequollene Spannplatten und angelaufene Armaturen. - Spinnweben an der Decke, Fenster wurden offensichtlich schon seit längerem nicht mehr gereinigt, angebrochene Cola-Flasche auf dem Gang vor dem Zimmer, herumliegendes WC-Papier und gebrauchte Taschentücher auf dem Boden. - Am Frühstücksbuffet wurden nicht mehr frische bzw. bereits am Vortag verwendete Lebensmittel aufgetischt. - Begrüssung und Verabschiedung wurden auf das absolute administrative Minimum reduziert. Unsere Unzufriedenheit haben wir der Geschäftsführung beim Auschecken mitgeteilt, jedoch zeigte diese keinerlei Interesse, geschweige denn kam eine angemessene Entschuldigung zum Ausdruck.

Das Doppelzimmer Kat. Standard entsprach nicht ein 4* Hotel. Es war klein, unpersönlich, lieblos möbiliert, eine Matrazze war schlecht (zu weich, haltlos im Rückenbereich), Badezimmer veraltet trotz kleine Renovationen... aber eben nicht genug... Schimmelpilzen im Duschvorhang. Zimmer nicht auf Strasseseite wählen, da zu lärmig. Das Restaurant für das Frühstück war angenehm im Jugendstil möbiliert. Frühstück war ok, Leider war das Personal zu diskret und wir haben selber das Tisch aufgedeckt! Niemand kam uns etwas zu fragen... Schade!

Very close to the famous Reichenbach waterfalls , could see them out of the window! Good restaurant and bar right on the door step, 5min walk from SBB train station

Large room, poor quality

This hotel was very poor value for money. Our room was large (in fact, they "upgraded" us to a larger room) but definitely substandard for the money we paid. The carpet was worn to the extent that the backing showed in one place. The wallpaper was opening up at the seams, and the radiator was leaking and leaving a wet patch on the floor. The sofa was shabby and definitely uninviting. The bathroom was okay, but apart from the small towels and liquid soap/shampoo, the only amenity we had was a shower cap. The large public spaces in this old hotel were light, airy and nicely painted, but they need to invest in the guest rooms. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Un hôtel très chic à Meiringen.

Hôtel magnifique. Escaliers, couloirs et salles de repas superbes. Les chambres sont accueillantes. Très agréable perspective sur le jardin derrière l'hôtel.
