This hotel is set on the outskirts of Teddy Roosevelt National Park - beautiful. In the winter, in Medora, there are not a lot of options. So it is nice that this option has a good breakfast, friendly staff and is in walking distance of the restaurant that is open.

Excellent breakfast! Friendly staff! Didn’t realize it was a seasonal town but it was fine! Great little saloon close by for dinner! Didn’t like that the pool and hot tub were dirty. Very cute hotel! Would love to visit in the summer when everything is open!

Don’t book through hotels.com
Driving cross country and needed a place to stay with my dog. A couple hours before needing to stop I filtered for hotels that allow dogs and this was the only one in town to show up so i booked it without thinking much more about it. About an hour later we show up and there are signs all in the lobby stating “no pets”. This is a hotels.com issue but the hotel was really unhelpful even tho i had just booked the room an hour before they would not refund me and told me to take it up with hotels.com….which i tried to do and all they could tell me was that the hotel is actually not pet friendly, sorry. When i go to do the same search to prove my issue, the hotel was still showing up, but in the fine print said “this hotel may not fit all of your requests” which i had clearly not seen, had to drive an extra 1.5 hours after a 15 hour day and pay for two hotels in one night.

Hello Abigail,You were never charged for this reservation. Our hotel has always been no pets allowed. The evening that you arrived I happened to be the clerk who was working and offered you hotel suggestions that allowed pets and were only 30 miles away. I guess I am not sure why you chose to drive further for accomodations. I am sorry you felt like you were misinformed by the third party you booked from. I assure you if you had reserved with us directly or on our Brand website you would have seen our policy stated clearly.Sincerely,Gina BridgerGeneral Manager

Front desk staff member while checking in was very welcoming. Room was cleaned well. Had a quiet night. Couldn’t ask for a better location for convenience to Medora and National Park entrance.

Thank you for the review. Our beds do not have a base with legs, it is a metal boxed frame. Not really sure why you thought a "leg" was missing.

Nice hotel!
Highly recommend the Americinn in Medora! Clean room, good breakfast, handy to TRNP and all attractions in Medora, friendly staff, super easy to find. A great choice for our stay!
