Driving cross country and needed a place to stay with my dog. A couple hours before needing to stop I filtered for hotels that allow dogs and this was the only one in town to show up so i booked it without thinking much more about it. About an hour later we show up and there are signs all in the lobby stating “no pets”. This is a hotels.com issue but the hotel was really unhelpful even tho i had just booked the room an hour before they would not refund me and told me to take it up with hotels.com….which i tried to do and all they could tell me was that the hotel is actually not pet friendly, sorry. When i go to do the same search to prove my issue, the hotel was still showing up, but in the fine print said “this hotel may not fit all of your requests” which i had clearly not seen, had to drive an extra 1.5 hours after a 15 hour day and pay for two hotels in one night.
