We had a very bad experience, we book king bed but instead they give us separate beds.and we ask them why they said we don’t have king bed. The bathroom we so bad very small impossible to take a shower because the floor will be wet since the bathroom does not have closing door. And it very badly smelling so horrible
The room was ok but the bathroom shower place was too small, I asked for change the room they changed but it was a disabled room,
It’s to bad, I asked for iron around 06 am , I contacted reception several times but I didn’t receive yet,
Staff were laying,

Liked: Room comfort
The room was quite cramped for a family. Was not happy with the overall cleanliness - it was nothing egregious but looking closely you could easily find areas which should have been wiped / cleaned better. Never been a fan of carpets in hotel rooms - a surefire way for the accumulation of dirt and grime build up over time - never walked without my sandals and made sure the kids did the same.
Other issues were a non fully functioning telephone; which meant I was only able to receive calls from other members of the group I was travelling with staying in the same hotel but not being able to ever successfully call them. The safe lock was out of battery so was not able to make use of that again. Finally, bizarre electric wiring meant that in order to use most of the electric outlets in our room for charging our devices, we had to keep the light switch next to each one of them turned on! Otherwise, no charging our phones!
Final black mark is the very average cuisine - really on the bland side - won't be appealing to South Asian tastes in particular.
Now for some positives. The staff generally speaking were helpful and friendly. The lobby area was pleasant and nicely decorated. The location was excellent - very easy walk to the prophet's mosque with plentiful shops and restaurants close by. The beds were comfortable for sleeping.
**Please be aware this is NOT a 5-star hotel**
We were very disappointed and shocked to arrive and realise this hotel was not 5-star as we had booked from the UK, but a 2 or 3 star hotel. Rooms are very small, barely room to walk. Toilets are very outdated however they were clean. Plumbing issues, water was dripping from above into our bathroom. Stained towels
Breakfast was a chaotic experience, not enough space for people to move around so people end up pushing, grabbing food, etc. Not enough seats so everyone stressed out looking for a chair to sit down with the family.
Dinner is a calmer experience. Food choices are extremely limited, one or two meat dishes, a rice dish, and a pasta dish. The chicken was pink inside so we left it. Soup was delicious and there were two different soups every day, freshly made. Desserts were good, fresh cakes daily which I think were ordered from elsewhere.
They do not clear tables fast enough, hardly any staff to do so. Even if someone cleared the table, the next person who is meant to clean and set the table does not come, so the tables are just left dirty. We were told we couldn't sit on the side of the restaurant that looked clean to us. We could not find a clean table to sit down. After a few minutes we found a member of staff to ask.
Paid ~£200/night per room for what is essentially a 2-star hotel.
Very close to haram, walking distance, however you have to cross a very busy road. Very close to door 339 and near women's prayer area.
Nous sommes passés pour notre lune de miel et nous avons été très bien accueillis par le personnel : chambre décorée, fruits en cadeau, hôtel très propre.
Room and bathroom was very clean, beds were comfortable. Very near to Masjide Nabawi and ladies gate 26. Two very nice Pakistani restaurants were situated in the same building complex. We had room only. Cannot comment on breakfast or dinner etc. Overall very pleasant experience. Hope to stay at Darul Eiman Royal again in near future.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The staff & breakfast were good. The TV was out of order, the bathroom needs to be changed, lots of things need to be repaired or changed . The location is not that near by foot.the hotel looks like 5 stars hotel only in the recent& corridors. The hotel staff provide us by items which is offered by 5 stars hotels only upon asking them to bring them such us shower cap, white slippers, white toilet paper
The location is very close to the mosque and the hotel is clean and close to all kinds of shops. The breakfast buffet is very diverse and there are so many choices but the quality of the food could be better.

Don't make any booking in this hotel.
Totally upsetting.Booked through hotels.com and neither hotels.com nor we can contact them. No one picks up their so many phones and no one responds to their emails.
We had some delays in our visa process and wanted to postpone our stay. In spite of receiving our email, the reception, when we arrived late, refused to let us in unless we paid the full amount for the day.
Stayed there for 5 hours and will not stay nor recommend anyone to even book there. You will loose your money if you change your plans. We have booked 2 rooms and lost thousands of Dollars with them. Receptionist advised to contact the office during the day and when we returned home no one ever responded to our so many overseas calls. Hotels.com informed us that their policy is "No refund".
What a tragedy that they have this policy in the City of the most beloved Prophet of Allah.
Our booking was from 1st Jan- 5th Jan. 2019
