House was nice, location was close to my family. Wheelchair ramp was really nice for my mother to us when she was over for Christmas dinner. Really enjoyed my stay.
Loved all the ducks, chickens and sheep roaming around...they make for great entertainment!! There is lots to see and do in the area with Abingdon being only 10 min away..
Great views !!
This place is great. Lucy is adorable. My dog like loved this farm. The animals were unbothered by his crazy behavior it was just what we needed. 10 outta 10
I was very pleased with the cleanliness.
That my dogs were welcome was a great plus
So much better than a hotel
I was able to cook for my college student that’s been missing home cooking.
We had a fabulous stay. We will absolutely stay again at some point.
Michael and Tatiana made my daughter and I feel so welcome! Plus we brought my three pups and my daughter’s pup no problem!! Their place has an amazing view of the mountains! They have sheep, pigs, bunnies, ducks made it fun to look out the window and see sheep grazing. Fresh duck eggs available the whole time. Place was very clean and had all we needed. Very homey!! I will rent again when I come back to see my brother and family.
I very impressed but I will honest when we first pulled it looks very rustic but once inside it was very clean and the bed omg it was like sleeping on a cloud, we loved how we could freely walk the property and we really enjoyed the farm animals which are all very tamed even the chickens lol this place to rent especially if you have kids that go to Emory and Henry College we stayed graduation weekend my mind was at ease because we did not have to deal with any traffic
The property was great and just as listed. The animals roaming the property were endearing and no bother at all. The views were spectacular and completely different out the front and out the back. One of the mountains, one of the forest. A doe and twin fawns grazed at the edge of the woods, much to my delight. The amenities were very nice, fresh eggs, garden herbs, a sound machine, and basic kitchen supplies made our stay very lovely. The hosts are the best as well!

Stay in Virginia
It was fine. Need to get rid of the old sofa & chair as it smelled of cat & we are both allergic.
Also a set of tings for cooking & dish rag & towel as I could not do the dishes before we left & dishwasher was out of order.
Other then that is was good.
Meadow view was a great home base for our family vacation—we were conveniently located in between Damascus and Abington so that hiking at Hungry Mother State Park, Grayson Highlands, and the shuttle to ride to White Top from Damascus to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail were all within convenient driving distance. Tatiana and Michael were wonderful hosts. My husband had an online meeting one morning and Tatiana and Michael introduced my kids and me to all the animals on the farm while he was online for his meeting, which we all really enjoyed. They also provided farm fresh eggs and tomatoes from their garden. Tatiana also recommended visiting the South Holston Dam, which had not originally been on our radar—we were so glad to have added this given the beautiful views and miles of walking trails around the river. Great location for an active family vacation!

Three day stay
Access to the property was not ideal. The lift does not work (which was shared in the property description), but walking around to the back of the house on the second level was problematic. The grass was not cut requiring trekking around the house walking through animal waste to get to the back door. The back deck was in very poor shape questioning safety. The queen bedroom offered someone's used breathe-right strip on one nightstand and a used contact lens on the other. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure great. However, there was nowhere to put the trash. The deck on the front was in poor shape questioning safety. We did not sit out there as I had wished. The host did offer free, fresh duck and chicken eggs, and answering all questions prior to stay.
Nice clean place with plenty of room. Easy access into town for dinner and exploring.

Great location for Abingdon/the Creeper
Such a gem! The host was welcoming and provided fresh farm eggs and herbs. It rained during our stay, so we only caught a glimpse of the critters, but it was extra special to be able to see ducks, chickens, pigs, and sheep. Location is an easy straight shot a few miles into Abingdon and the Virginia Creeper Trail; we were there for a race on the trail, so it was very convenient. The bed was super comfortable.

It was terrible. I left after one night. I have already sent in my comments toEvolve Travel.
Our family stayed here for a week and loved it. Tatiana was a great host, and she very graciously allowed our younger children to take a tour of her small farm, and feed/pet the animals. The owners lived close by and are there if you need them, but also give you space. The property is full of all kinds of creatures, sheep, pigs, rabbits, deer, ducks, and feels like a Peter Rabbit storybook. The house itself was very clean and had all of the essentials necessary for cooking. The fridge was even stocked with fresh eggs. If you like a bit of country charm this property is great!
Easy to find. It was clean and spacious. The king sized bed was comfortable with a machine that has several soothing noise choices. Very nice yard and the sunset was amazing! There are sheep and chickens roaming around and fresh eggs as a bonus! Tatiana was very helpful and friendly. Overall a great stay!
Lovely spot! Clean apartment was quiet and private. Owners on site are very helpful. Mini- farm with nice back deck and yard. Train nearby comes through daily but was not bothersome. Very easy drive into Abingdon; near many national parks and boat marinas. Local farm to table restaurant was exceptional at reasonable prices.
If you’re looking for privacy, this isn’t the place to book an escape… Host is very friendly, but also lingers outside close to the rental after dark and at random times which was very uncomfortable for us as we felt like our space was invaded. She also waited for us in the driveway to greet us and conversate, we prefer no contact with hosts, maybe that’s just us though. If we wanted all that we’d have stayed at a bed and breakfast.THERE IS A TRAIN VERY CLOSE TO THE PROPERTY THAT RUNS OFTEN AN BLOWS THE HORN. Host has a basket of ear plugs in the bedroom to help if you can’t sleep due to train noise.Kitchen has plenty of the essential dishes, cups, cookware and utensils which is nice. Bed was comfortable.Probably a fantastic place to stay if you’re not a super private person, it just wasn’t what we had in mind.Aside from that, it’s a lovely property with great views.Oh.., and the back deck is old, sloped, slippery and the wood is soft in places, be careful! The listing has old pictures.
Everything was great. The hosts were very generous and polite. They introduced themselves and then did not bother us at all; however they were very reassuring and told us to let them know if we needed them. They are a small farm and had chickens, ducks, a pig, and sheep. The animals were all very friendly and entertaining for us to watch while we sat on the porch. The location is in a beautiful holler with breathtaking views of the rolling hills and countryside. The small winding road follows a train track that is very active, but the trains are short. The hosts even offered earplugs for the train (even though we liked it ). The bed was a king size and the sheets were clean as was the rest of the house. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier. This was both of our first time with using a VRBO, so we were a little skeptical, but after this experience we are much more at ease and will be using this service again. We actually are planning to come back to VA in July and wouldn’t mind having this lodge again.
This was a last-minute booking for us as we were in the process of closing on a new home. It turned out to be a huge surprise and great discovery located in the town of Meadowview. This is a "blink and you'll miss it" exit off I-81 and you DO NOT WANT TO MISS IT!
Tatiana and Michael have an amazing property with beautiful views of the SWVA countryside. The accommodations are exceptionally maintained, spacious and modern. We were proivded with fresh eggs from their chickens and herbs from their garden which were delicious. The animals that live on the property are quiet and lots of fun to watch (if you're lucky you may see the chicken who thinks she is the leader of the ducks).
Communication with the hosts was fantastic, all messages were promptly responded to,
Location info: Meadowview is small but has a superb farm-to-table restaurant. It is close to Abingdon and I-81 making it very convenient while retaining its country feel. I am definitely keeping them in my favorites so I can stay with them again on an actual vacation when I can explore the area more Thank you both for the great experience!
This was the cutest lil mini farm with so much to offer.
Amazing onsite owners. They provided small touches that made the stay comfortable. Fresh free range eggs, herbs from their garden, berries from the forest, and a bedside sound machine made it feel homey. If you want luxury this is not the place but if you want great views, firefly filled nights, and fresh country air then book fast.
