High Country Log Cabin|Hiking|Gas Logs|Vineyards

Summary:
Luxurious cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains in a safe, quiet vacation cabin community moments from the Parkway! At 3000 feet (nearly 1000ft higher than Asheville) we have beautiful winters and cool summer evenings. Hiking, memorable dining, fly fishing, epic vistas, ziplining & kayaking are all nearby. We also share a curated list of local recommendations to plan a perfect itinerary!

Easy access to BRP, Floyd, Meadows of Dan, Stuart, Chateau Morrisette, Villa Appalaccia Winery and Primland resort.

The Space:
The newly renovated cabin features hewn log + mortar walls, a stone gas fireplace, vaulted ceilings and an open concept feel. The brand new kitchen gleams with granite counters, stainless steel appliances, salvaged barnwood open shelving, gas range, custom range hood, and dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need from the cast iron skillet for your perfect southern meal, Ninja blender for morning smoothies and afternoon cocktails, drip coffee maker and good quality coffee, water boiler for tea, cocktail shaker, glassware, pots, pans and utensils. Also includes kids plastic cups/bowls/plates.

The dining table is set up for 4, but easily accommodates 6 with the hand built entry bench added to a side. The living room features a designer leather couch, custom barn wood coffee table, comfortable side chair with stool, and oversized floor pillows for snuggling up beside the fire. The house has abundant warm side lighting to create the perfect environment for cozying up with a book or relaxing in the evening.

The spacious and inviting master bedroom features a beautiful live edge hardwood suite including bed frame, dresser and side tables. Lush blue velvet curtains add a luxurious feel to the room and offer privacy, and darkness for sleeping in. The room has a Smart TV for movie nights in bed, overhead ceiling fan, screens on the windows to enjoy nighttime breezes, brushed brass reading lamps, and a sewing table makeup area with pendant lighting. The room offers a closet and bedside faux fur rug for a plush feel. The room is decorated with hand painted watercolors in antique frames.
The bathroom is steps away and offers a shower with extra deep soaking tub, perfect for lounging with your shoulders under water after a hard day of play. The cabin comes equipped with natural shampoo, conditioner and body wash, towels and wooden bath mat. We use Free & Clear Unscented laundry detergent on bedding and towels so our guests with sensitivities to perfumed products can breath easy. The bath vanity features a new gleaming white granite top, oil rubbed bronze hardware and a nook for storing the products for your morning routine. The bath also offers full sized washer & dryer available for use during your stay along with a few washer pods to get you started.
In the vaulted living room ascend the stairs to the lofted open air second bedroom. This room features a brass and wood farmhouse queen bed, dual hanging farmhouse pendant bedside reading lamps, ceiling fan, screen on the window, and room darkening curtains. The room also offers a hardwood futon lounger that opens into an additional queen bed.
Step outside on the breezy front deck to enjoy rolling pastoral views, cool morning air, and showstopper sunset views. Two rocking chairs and a Restoration Hardware lounge couch make this a great place to relax, catch up or wind down. The deck also offers a gas grill, and access to the front shared yard area, perfect for kids to play or for a game of cornhole or frisbee!

Guest Access:
Pull up to Unit 22 and park in the two spaces to the far Left facing the house (the far right space is for our neighbor).

Follow the gravel path on left side of the house to the front door. There is an electronic touchpad so you don't have to keep up with a key!

The Neighborhood:
Our cabin is in a vacation community, and we also have the cabin above your parking area for rent ("Log Cabin|Copper Tub..."). The majority of cabins are second homes; the community is quiet, peaceful and very safe. All common area in the community is shared.

Interaction with Guests:
We have absolutely fallen in love with this area of the Blue Ridge Mountains and we want you to, as well! We are happy to answer questions that you may have whether it's a hankering for a local wine, a need for expansive vistas in your day, or a good plate of Mexican food, we are happy to help you find the closest and best place to make that happen.

We want you to be able to settle into this home as if it was your own. We'll stay out of your way, but we're just a quick message away if you have questions about restaurants, events or the house, or if an unexpected issue arises.

An amazing weekend get away !!
We had an amazing time at this cabin!! It was such a beautiful home with an incredible view. We spent a minority of our time out on the back deck which was incredible. The cabin was clean and had plenty of dishes and blankets etc. The owners were available whenever I messaged them and they gave many resources for things to do in the area!!

Nice for an Overnight Stay
PROS: We needed a place to sleep for one night that was close by Chateau Morrisette and this cabin was only a 15 minute ride away. The view from the cabin is beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was easy to find. We did not use the kitchen except for a few wine glasses although it appeared to be well stocked with everything needed had we been planning on cooking or eating at the cabin. Our host was very responsive -- only had a bit of difficulty in locking the door the first time we left because we were instructed to turn a knob to the right and it should have said 'to the left'. My brilliant son figured it out LOL! CONS: We did not use shower although did find a used washcloth slung over top of shower curtain. Since there were 4 of us, it would have been nice to have another comfy chair to sit on because a two-cushion sofa really only seats 2 people comfortably even if it is a true sofa and not a loveseat. Lighting could have been much better/brighter -- especially on the stairs. We had every light turned on so we could play cards and it was still very dim in the living room and the dining table was no better. There was glitter and tiny pieces of tinsel on the carpet when we arrived, I assume from someone's Christmas celebration at the cabin.

Beautiful cabin and scenery. Very nice! Very clean, but i seen spider webs in the bathroom and somebody's left over soap on the ledge of the shower. That is my only complaint. We will try to come back and stay longer. Hated to leave.
