The Roundabout Cabin near Portsmouth, Ohio
Nestled on 4 wooded acres along Pond Creek, this one of a kind cabin will certainly be a unique experience. Walls of windows blur the lines between inside and out, connecting you with nature in every room. The house is very open, with rooms winding around the central stone fireplace with varying levels. The kitchen is stocked with supplies for preparing your own meals, but downtown Portsmouth restaurants are just 10 minutes away. Outside are patios for relaxing and woods for walking.
We live in the area but not on this property. Guests have the entire space, inside & out, to themselves.
This is a residential area and the neighbors enjoy the privacy of the dead-end road. It's pretty quiet out here and they appreciate a low level of noise after 10 pm. We hope you'll enjoy that as well.
You have access to the cabin and 4 acres. Due to safety concerns, the loft is inaccessible to guests. There are patios, fire pit, paths to explore, and a platform that overlooks the creek.
PLEASE NOTE the openness of this house is way cool. This means the bathroom and shower are open to the bedroom, which has no door. The bathroom does have a door to the main living area. Questions? Just ask.
There is a king size bed in the bedroom. For additional guests, the couch in the living room pulls out to a queen size bed. The cabin is pet-friendly and we only ask that pets are kept off the furniture and bedding. We allow pets to stay for free and this helps us keep it that way! The interior of the cabin is non-smoking.
If you head south on State Route 73, you're about 5 minutes from Giovanni's (pizza, sandwiches, pasta) and an IGA for groceries. The Boneyfiddle Historic District of Portsmouth is also south about 10 minutes.
There is firewood available for use in the firepits. Bringing firewood from where you live can spread harmful insects and diseases. Please help protect the local trees and forest by only using the firewood provided.

What a delightful experience to stay in this forest getaway. The unique architecture of this roundabout home was such wonderful place to relax. The wood and stone interior with the sunken living room that had huge windows looking out into the forest made you feel like you you were staying with the Gnomes. Such a great place for a getaway!
We really enjoyed out stay at this property, We really loved how well the property was maintained, both inside and the outdoor spaces. Hoping to stay again in the future :)
This cabin really is a little slice of paradise. You truly get the best of things... seclusion and privacy but close to great restaurants and things to do. Will absolutely be staying here again!
This place was incredible Susie easy check in - secluded yet not to far away from grocery stores and restaurants. The place at night is incredible as well just a nature escape much needed to get away from realty! It has everything you need No need to bring dishes and towels. The shower is sooo fun.We sure will be back.
Amazing time! we loved the cabin and area. Definitely would change a few things like tv in the bedroom! the neighbors dogs barked anytime we were outside but you can’t hear it in the cabin.
The cabin and outdoor patio were great. Very clean. Does need more available towels. The shower was very cool. The peacefulness was interrupted by the neighbor dog that barked almost the whole time we were there. The owner tried her best to rectify the situation and that was appreciated, but there was not much to be done about an inconsiderate neighbor.
We loved this cabin so much! It was very clean, and check in was easy. It was so unique and it is in a beautiful area. We had everything we needed for meals in the kitchen. Even a cast iron skillet, which I really appreciated! When we had a question for our host, they were easy to communicate with, and got back with us quickly. We loved the view when we were eating our meals. Thank you for this little getaway surrounded by nature!
