Lazy Bear Cabin a Private Vacation Home

  • Welcome to the "Lazy Bear Cabin" a great place to unwind and relax. Nice and cozy cabin in a perfect location to enjoy the lake and all of the activities that Deep Creek has to offer. This lake area cabin has all of the comforts of home and within a short drive to all of the main attractions. Enjoy a night by the fire pit with family and friends, dinner on the large porch, a game of poker, a round of darts, movie night, or a game of pool in the game room. The best part of the cabin is the location spend a night out in town and be home within a few minutes.

    The first floor features an open floor concept, tastefully decorated bear theme with a very cozy living and dining area. The kitchen is fully stocked for all of your cooking and dining needs. The dining room can accommodate up to six guests.

    The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed, electric fireplace, and a TV.

    The "Bunk Room" is furnished with twin over full bunk beds and a TV.

    The Guest room is furnished with a queen bed and a TV.

    The basement area is where all of the fun happens. The game room features a pool table, dart board, bar area, poker table, foosball table, air hockey table, TV, and a party speaker.

VRBO We had a great time at Lazy bear! It had the perfect mountain-resort feel, especially with Wisp just 5 min down the road! It’s a perfect all-season accommodation as there were fireplaces and indoor games for a winter trip but also outdoor seating and scenery for a summer trip! We will certainly be back and recommend it! Great for families with kids as the game room was a fun way to end the day. Plus there’s a big screen TV over the fireplace to get cozy for movie night. Extra bonus was the quick response from the host throughout our stay! Noel was flexible and accommodating which we were so grateful for! Thank you again! :)

This property couldn’t have been better. Exactly as advertised (note you do need to bring your own linens, I almost missed that!), comfy, well decorated, and fun. I got to teach my daughter to ski and play pool while there thanks to this home. It’s well located, close to everything you need. We’ll be back for sure!

Amazing trip to Lazy Bear Cabin!

Lazy Bear cabin was an amazing place to stay! It was easy to access, especially with the ramp going up to the large front deck with plenty of seats for everyone. You enter a cozy cabin with multiple bear decorations, nice size bedrooms, comfortable sleeping, the kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The basement has a variety of games with the pool table, air hockey, foosball, dartboard and we enjoyed all of them. Then the sliding glass door goes out to the covered deck and then down to the fire pit where we enjoyed having roasted marshmallows. we will definitely be returning. We love the Lazy Bear Cabin.

The cabin was perfect for a getaway with kids. All the activities we wanted to do were within a few miles, the grocery store was about 3 miles away. We were able to use the porch and side of the house for outside activities after a day at WISP or the beach.

Country Bear Calvin - just right!

Country Bear Cabin just right for family vacation. In the evenings we Greatly enjoyed the outdoor covered porch, downstairs pool and card table, or fire pit style backyard with benches. The living room and kitchen was comfortable and functional. The location was close to the beaches, lake, kayaking, hiking and Wednesday night concert. Near many places to eat and shop too. Loved the local Firefly Cheese shop, glass blowing tour and Shawnee Trading post too. Lots to do and see and easy to relax!

Too much fun!

My whole family just loved this cabin- the area itself is gorgeous and has tons of things to do within 20-30 min drive. And you might not want to venture out when you see the amenities in the basement! Pool table, foosball, air hockey, darts, poker table: my family used it all. We had a blast playing pool together, something we've never done before. The only thing I wish this property had is a dishwasher.

Great Location

This place was perfect, open concept in the living areas and a great basement for evening/night activities with kids or young adults. Pool table and card table were used every night. The location is close to a lot of activities but yet not right on the main street to hear noise etc...I will definitely be staying here again. My only issue was the master bedroom bed squeaks, I'm 225lbs so every move made a sound.

Mountain getaway

One of the best stays I’ve had! From the moment we walked in it was absolutely beautiful and smelled amazing. It was such a clean and welcoming place! We even got to see some amazing wildlife from the kitchen window. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star on the location was because of the driveway. It’s very accessible, but my boyfriend has a truck with of course wide wheels and it made it a little tricky turning around, but most people will not run into this problem! We definitely plan on coming back and staying here! It’s just minutes away from the lake but still secluded enough to have privacy.

My 2 sisters and i went for a long weekend and Noel did not disappoint! The cabin and decor was charming. Never saw a bear but be on the lookout! Although the cabin is not "lake front / view property it was close to everything. 5 minutes to almost anywhere. We visited the state park and went on a tour of the lake via Ray at High Mountain Sports. I would recommend this verses renting a pontoon boat. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! We enjoyed everything about Deep Creek. Thanks Noel!

Top Notch! Best cabin experience!

This immaculate and endearing cabin was definitely a home away from home! Every detail was thought of to make this getaway no work. My son & I spent a decent amount of time at the cabin relaxing and hanging out in the game room. We also toured around town visiting the area state parks, B & O museum, shopping, pizza & ice cream. The location has a ton of activities very close by as well as a very nice fire pit with plenty of seating on the property. Noel was by far the best host I have dealt with in my many years of vacationing! Communication has been great! Immediate, pleasant and very helpful! I definitely plan to return with my entire family!
