"Owls Nest is located on our favorite end of Deep Creek Lake. We loved the cottage style and decor with everything you truly need for a comfortable and fun stay. The best part for us was the inclusion of kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. The fishing wasn’t bad either. Next we will stay longer."

Large family vacation
"Celebrated a 40th birthday weekend here and the house had plenty of space for multiple families with several children each. Beds and size was great. Note their oversized hot tub was the largest I had ever seen in a rental property so that was an unexpected bonus. Cons. Cleaning company could’ve done a better job. Cobwebs throughout, cups and dishware needed to be rinsed before using, debris in pool. Management company could pay more attention to detail. Several lightbulbs out inside and outside. Heated pool said to be set at 85° in house pamphlet only to find out it was set at 81° which is quite cold. Not a huge deal since temperature was easily adjusted. The room in the basement corner by the living room seems to have air circulation issue with the carpet near back wall getting damp. Leaving bathroom door open and fan running seemed to mitigate this. Overall a good stay. Location was great."
