From the moment you turn onto Rainbow Road, you know you're in a special place! Our cabin is nestled among beautiful open fields and trees where you will see countless nature! Come and relax on our covered front porch and recharge your batteries. Our freshly remodeled cabin is perfect for two couples or a family of four. We have beautiful hardwood floors, washer/dryer, two bedrooms with a queen bed in each, and fresh lavatory that includes tub and shower combo, toilet and sink. Our new kitchen is a delight to be in with light flooding everywhere. We don't carry wifi, but we have a smart tv and some fun movies for viewing. We also have a fire pit for those end of the day tales that are just dying to be told. No city lights here. We are in the country where the sound of tree frogs and crickets will lull you to sleep. Just to give you a lay of the land; we are within 15 minutes of the following: Missaukee Golf Course, Lake Cadillac and Lake Mitchell (famous for walleye fishing), Lake Missaukee, Houghton Lake, Ebels in Falmouth (fabulous meats), Hughston's Cow Camp Rodeo, Merritt Speedway and we are 57 miles to Traverse City - an easy day trip. Maybe it's time to check out Lake Missaukee that boasts the greatest 4th of July in the north! Whether you are looking to get away and rest or spend some time exploring, this is your place! We are a 4 season get away and we can't wait to host you!

The surroundings were unbelievably quiet! We’re not even aware of neighbors until we took a drive the next day. The care and thought to the details for comfort was very obvious. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Beautiful home so just peaceful . We have family 17 minutes away we come up every year for the 4th. The only thing I would suggest is spraying for spiders. Over all this home has been one of the best that we have rented.
We had an incredible stay at The Hollow. With the busyness of life, a quiet getaway was just what we needed to rejuvenate ourselves. The cabin is nestled among the trees down a winding dirt road. It is updated and incredibly clean, but with a rustic edge. We enjoyed a nice cup of coffee on the covered porch and listened to the birds chirp away. We also saw opossums, rabbits, eagles and deer, among other wild life. Plus, we were only 45 minutes from Lake Michigan which made for a lovely little day trip. We will absolutely be back - thank you!
We loved this place. Perfect escape from the city. Huge firepit with plenty of wood ( enjoyed splitting my own ), yard games, spacious front porch and an awesome kitchen countertop are just a few things we loved. They seemed to have thought of everything!!
As the very first renters of this property, we can not say enough about how much we loved this place!! Super cute and very cozy with all the amenities. Perfect amount of space to relax, have a campfire, grill out, play corn hole (which was provided) and if the weather turns, you can enjoy a movie (not a huge selection to choose from, but Redbox is available in Cadillac). All in all a great place to get away!! Very quiet and private from the surrounding homes. The host was very responsive and pleasant!! Two thumbs up all around:)
This place was nothing short of amazing! Quick little trip and it was well worth it!
We arrived and our mouth hit the floor it was cute, cozy and PEACEFUL! WE wanted to stay longer. First experience with vrbo and it won't be our last! Thank u for the welcoming basket it was great!
Property is brand new and a great choice for an escape to the woods. No WiFi with great outdoor area to enjoy nature away from the bustle of everyday life. Our visit in early oct was just a week or so early for prime fall colors, but still lovely.
Cabin was as nice in real life as in the pictures .
I’ve rented some other cabins that looked a lot better in the pictures than in person. But this little cabin was very nice. It was clean newer looking beautiful wood furniture and came with everything you could want. It even had a croquet set, corn hike and some board games. Nice setting and quiet. I would definitely rent again.
The property looks amazing in the description and photos on the VRBO listing, but that flat presentation pales in comparison to the beautiful, clean and delightful reality that awaits you when you check in and open the door.
Right as you walk in, there's a welcome basket and greeting card from the owner. There are easter eggs here and there that charm and delight you. The bed is an alluring cloud that calls to you to catch up on your rest. During the day, blue jays and woodpeckers entertain you, and at night, crickets and frogs gently support your peaceful sleep.
Only six miles from Lake City, twenty from Houghton Lake and twenty from Cadillac, there is plenty to see and do within a short ride. If you want to avoid other people, the hosts have provided ample outdoor seating, a croquet set, grilling forks and a fully equipped kitchen.
Book this property early, because the competition will get fierce as the word gets out! I'm coming back next summer.
We had the most amazing time! We could not have asked for a nicer, cleaner place! We really enjoyed the outdoors and fire pit! We hope to be back soon!
We had a wonderful experience in this cabin. The location was wonderful and everything we thought we needed we found it was already there. We definitely plan to come back and we would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great place to stay.
Enjoyed everything about the property. Loved the slab wood counter tops. Cleanliness of the property was very good. Loved it overall. Lots of deer in nearby fields.
This place was new and I fell in love right away with the all around cuteness. For them being new in the business they did a spectacular job. Communication was fast and easy, the home itself has everything you need for a relaxing time. The decor is beautiful, bed was comfortable, overall I have not one complaint. We have already decided to return making this beautiful spot our yearly tradition. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home!
It was generally pretty quiet. The Cabin/house was as described in the listing. There was plenty of shade outside. It has a modern kitchen with ample supply of dishes and utensils. Also provided was a cornhole set with bags, a croquet set, and firewood. It was spacious inside and enough linens and blankets were supplied. Best of all, the host (Barb) was extremely responsive to my questions.
