"When we arrived to the hotel we got a room that was dirty and crawling with ants, we tried to cancel our stay for the week due to unsanitary reasons and wanted to find alternative accomodation for the rest of our stay in Crete. The hotel staff was not willing to give us any refund but wanted to change us to a room they called an upgrade due to better view from the balcony. "Lovely place lovely people. If you want to get away from the mob this is the place. Beautiful setting. Lovely food. Reception were very helpful as were all the staff. Only negatives I have are the Villas are up a big hill so have a car or be fit. Also the pool at the villa wasn’t ready (on and cleaned) on the Saturday we arrived, wasn’t sorted until we said something on the Monday. But was sorted very quickly."

"For the price paid the accommodation was very good, clean and larger than a Parisian hotel room. Towels were enough including the beach towel. The view is superb from the table in front of the door. The only miss was the coffe for the provided machine but the girl at the reception was helpful and the problem was solved."

"Hotel is immaculate, beautiful pool, easy access to the beach, food in the Waves beach bar was amazing and huge portion sizes, short €2 bus journey to Chania port. Highly recommend this hotel"

"We had the most incredible time at Phos Hotel! Me and my best friend booked Phos Hotel for our yearly girls’ holiday and we were just blown away by the service, cleanliness and friendliness here. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and exactly as pictured - it’s really peaceful and relaxing as it’s not a huge hotel which we prefer. The staff were incredible and always went above and beyond for us! Maria and Petros were both fantastic, so kind and helpful, printing off the bus timetable, booking excursions and giving us recommendations of places to go! Akis on the bar and the security guy were all so friendly and made us feel so welcome and safe! Our room was spotless (and continued to be, housekeeping was fantastic!), we had a view over the pool, which was glorious to wake up to every day. Breakfast was lovely with lots of variety, and again the staff were super friendly and took good care of us. The location was perfect for us as we wanted easy access to the beach, but also the ability to be able to get into Chania easily by public transport! Chania is a €2 20 minute bus journey away, so super easy and cheap to get to! We also went to Rethymno which was just over an hour away by bus and only about €7 (you have to go to Chania first and get the bus from there!). We just had the most amazing time here, wish we could come back already!! Would definitely recommend!"

"Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean with lovely quality furnishings. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. All the staff were really friendly and the service was excellent. Pool area is lovely with plenty of beds, connected to the beach with use of the hotels sunbeds. Food at the pool bar is lovely. We booked a garden view room which had the worst view of any hotel I have stayed in, roof view with a few plants on it and rotten windows, we didn’t use the balcony once. We had room 317, so if you can avoid that room, I presume 316 and 318 had the same awful view. I don’t think all the garden room views were as bad as ours. It didn’t spoil our holiday in this lovely hotel but was a bit disappointing 😢 The location is great, in a relatively quiet area with a 10 minute walk to platanius where it is a bit livelier. Great hotel with lovely staff, would recommend. "
