The room was very nice and staff were wonderful. In all honesty I would not recommend staying there when it is really cold. the room was 42 when we arrived and She had to bring in 2 electric heaters to bring room temperature up to 68. But if you like historic like we do it's beautiful

Lovely staff, very friendly. The hotel is from the late 1800's and is a beautiful building. In downtown Mayville, there are a few restaurants, coffee shop, some shopping and even a bowling alley next door. There is a lovely path to walk around the nearby golf course that I did each morning. Cute and quaint little town. The entire town of people are very friendly too. The only hotel downside is that the hotel could use some major renovations. If someone could donate a little time and budget to help restore this place, it would be so amazing.

The room was superbly clean, and tidy, albeit worn: example the chair upholstery was split, and the toilet seat was very loose/unsafe. When they say check-in is at 4pm, there is ZERO staff in the hotel until 3:45pm, and no staff in the morning. Coffee creamer was in chunks, so do not use. Still, for the price, it was a good place to stay.

Great staff, great little town with cool hiking trails all around and good food. I enjoyed the free coffee in the morning and looking at the artwork, the building itself is beautiful. Now my favorite part the bathtub in our room we got the standard king room and our tub was more of a hot tub. Fit me and my husband in there perfectly with room to spare if also had jets! Their shampoo was great water pressure was great. Now I will say it’s not perfect, our bed was a smidge too big for the bed frame. And the art in our room looked like it was from the early 2000. Kinda threw off the historic vibes a little. The handles in the bath tub did come off if you lift them the wrong way but it was made that way in there defense. The heater in our room was portable so when we turned it on it kinda had a fiery but not in a natural way smell. I would give this hotel a 80 out of 100 in my opinion. I’m not very picky and really enjoyed the whole experience as a whole and will definitely come back!

Wonderful experience

Wonderful antique hotel. Since we arrived late, we used a code to get in. It was so quiet, we might have been alone in the hotel! We didn’t see another soul (alive or dead lol). Really nice and very memorable!

Gorgeous property. Friendly staff. Quiet except the upstairs neighbors had squeaky floor boards and were up walking around from 5-8 am and we couldn't sleep. Bar on main floor is beautiful but not open very long. The bartender Bill makes the best old fashioned. Clean. Very comfortable bed. Jetted tub was amazing. Would definitely stay there again.

Jacuzzi tub was great! The staff were very helpful with getting a car to move that was blocking the electric vehicle chargers. Perfect place to explore the Horicon marsh area.
