While traveling with my kids, we arrived exhausted and were welcomed by the property owners who immediately requested everyone to take off their shoes at the entrance of the hotel (they were scared our kids would dirty their carpeted floors) . "We have been 'Chateau' travelers for 42 years. I cannot count the number of establishments visited. Ch Goujonnerie is 'THE' most charming Chateau we have had the priviledge to stay. It was exceptionally difficult to say goodbye after 5 nights. Isabella, Natalie AND Stephen and Michel were the most charming hosts. We will never forget their care to guests. We look forward to returning again and is a great place for a base camp if you want to visit La Rochell or Il de Re or so many other places...
