Wonderful and way beyond expectations. We read some negative reviews about this property and don't know what to expect. But we were blown away when we checked. in. The unit is spacious with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a full size kitchen with oven, cooktop and dishwasher and everything works as it should be.. The unit is squeaky clean and all appliances and furniture look new. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. And the host provides a large tub of eco friendly laundry detergent. The inner bedroom has an amazing view of the ocean and the island in the backdrop. You can hear the wave crashing on shore and walk out of the unit onto the public patio to enjoy the amazing view. We sat on the patio watching whales from morning to sunset. The outside of the property is well maintained and we saw pool guy every morning and gardening crew trimming and cleaning. We pass by neighboring units and every one looks nice and clean. We seriously wonder where the negative reviews come from. We walked to the small park and beach down the road, the farmer's market, and the food trucks and grocery stores. We totally enjoyed our 3 nights stay and would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were really helpful and communicative despite our late arrival. Our unit was beautiful, clean, well stocked full kitchen. The pool area by the beach was gorgeous and relaxing. Easy walk to stores and restaurants. Only negative is the street side is a bit loud. Otherwise fantastic stay.

We used this to launch to other Kaanapali beaches. Good food is close by and you can grill. The kids loved the pool after the sun went down. Wish we could have stayed longer. They give you a list of what’s open and what’s not. Beautiful views from the lanai. Would stay there again. The room was perfect for our fam of 6- two bathrooms were clutch.

Gorgeous view, right on the ocean (no beach access)! Large lanai to relax and enjoy the waves, view of Molokai., overlooking pool/hot tub. Master with en suite just off lanai, very nice size. 2nd bedroom opposite side of unit, with 2 beds, en suite. This had only window on walkway in front of unit. Galley style kitchen well equiped. Dining area comfortable size. Walkable to grocery store.

Very clean apartment which was well stocked with towels, plates, utensils etc… They even supplied washing powder for the washing machine. It is an ocean front property with a nice pool. Only downside was no ac but if you open the screen door and windows, there is a nice ocean breeze. I would definitely stay here again with my family.

The room was a good size for the 6 of us. It was really nice to have a kitchen and a beautiful view. The room has plenty of windows, balcony doors, and fans but I’m an ac kinda person. Not having AC was a bummer for me!

The receptionist Donna was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath with our own gate access to the pool. The room was newly renovated and furnished with everything!! It was the best choice for my family of six!!

The landscape gave us the tropical feeling we were looking for in a Hawaiian experience. Enjoying a cup of coffee while lounging sea side was very relaxing. I would recommend this location to friends.

We enjoyed our stay at Hono Koa. Great space with all necessary amenities. All staff were very welcoming and pleasant to deal with. Had a small issue with our sink, but it was fixed in no time at all. We knew there would be no air conditioning, so expected it to be a little warm at night which it was. But they had ceiling fans and stand alone fans in each room which helped. If you are staying in the warmer months, it might be too hot without the air conditioning.

Good for families, but HOT!
The room itself was well stocked and pretty comfortable. The entire unit could use a deep cleaning. When opening the cabinets in the kitchen, there was a musty smell. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The lack of AC is definitely a deal breaker for us for future stays. The back bedroom didn’t cool off enough at night to make sleeping comfortable. If you are running the dryer, that room doesn’t cool down at all. Overall, if you are used to heat this is a perfectly fine place.
