In the summer there is a shade sail set up over the deck to give you a place to relax out of the sun. Fresh herbs in the garden, abundant lemon trees - perfect for gin and tonics at the end of the day!

Woolleys Bay across the road is ideal for boogie boarding, walking, swimming, fishing off the beach. Within a short drive is Sandy Bay (renowned surf beach), Whale Bay (where bush meets the sand - an idyllic picnic spot),and Matapouri Bay (the jewel of Tutukaka Coast). Tutukaka is the place to launch your boat, wander the shops and cafes, or catch a dive expedition to the Poor Knights Islands. Ngunguru has a well-stocked superette and liquor centre, Salt Air cafe, the Sports Complex, golf course, kids playground and more.
