Building is older but I’d spotless and clean. And that’s all that matters when staying somewhere! I will be staying here again when I come to visit my family.
Very clean hotel with a spacious and well-appointed lobby and a side lounge that my family enjoyed as a place to get together and chat. Rooms were clean and comfortable, especially the mattresses. Front desk staff was very welcoming and made a great recommendation for local breakfast place.

The heat in the room did not work at all woke up and it was 60 degrees in room. Some cob webs on ceiling and dust on bed posts. The jacuzzi and staff were nice

Staff was pleasant & friendly.
No vending machines
The hotel is a typical hotel room. Very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only thing I feel they should do is update the website to acknowedge they no longer have breakfast available.

Need better option for coffee- morning pastry etc as no continental breakfast- the entrance looks tired if no longer Quality Inn get rid of old mat at entrance that says Quality Inn - brighten up the overhang at entrance with lights around the top of it - perhaps paint it a lighter color - paint the support poles- chipped peeling- replace broken tiles out front- inside hotel is quite beautiful- how about a coffee shop in the closed restaurant - the hotel is and could be and should be a wonderful center of town business- spruce it up- advertise better- staff was great !
The employees were very nice and courteous. The room was very nice and comfortable. The only complaint I would have is that the way the toilet in the bathroom was configured it was not very comfortable for a plus sized person. I felt squeezed in and it was difficult to move. Other than that there was plenty of towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner. We enjoyed our stay.
Not the cleanest place to stay. There was a lot of door slamming and yelling in the hallway that went on beyond 9pm. Surrounding area is not terrible. We went on a little walk down the river.

Showing its age.
The room was VERY small but clean. Contrary to the info on your website, there was NO included breakfast, but there was a good diner (Via Main) within walking distance that served generous portions for a reasonable price. They will NOT do late check-outs. It was okay for a solo traveler staying for a single night.

The outside was neat. Front desk area presentable, and the staff friendly.
Indoors: the hallways, elevator and rooms (even non smoking) smelled like smoke. The air conditioner wasn’t working. There was no breakfast as it read when I booked my room.

Check in was easy and the staff was extremely nice, room was decently clean and the price was fair for what it was. They have a smoking section and a non smoking section. There is a gas station across the street if you are hungry at night or need to stop and fill up the tank. It is within walking distance of the local main street shops and also the public library. Its right next door to the Massena Police department. The parking lot was the biggest issue of the stay. It felt very claustrophobic and had some bad spots with ruts and potholes. We used the side/back entrance, it was torrential raining the night we stopped. The entire entrance was blocked off by a huge lake of a puddle and we had to avoid it as best as we could to get to the door. There was no breakfast included. It would have made the stay even better if it was, especially with their cozy lobby. It would do well to have a breakfast nook there. I would have loved to sit by the fire hearth and read a book and sip my morning brew. Overall I would give it a solid 3/5. It was alright but there could be room for improvements!
Have stayed at hotel a few times years ago under different owner and things have definitely gone downhill since then. Advertises free continental breakfast online, although not an option anymore (no restaurant, no vending machines, no food at all). No ice machine available for the entire hotel. Rooms were outdated and smelled of cigarettes even in the non smoking rooms. The room was clean enough and the bathroom was very clean. Not the worst place, but definitely overpriced for what you get. The service/front desk was top notch, very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Great service made the rest of the disappointments easy to overlook for a one night stay.
We stayed at this property two years ago and it was great for a budget hotel. Now, it has seriously went downhill. CONS: First, they didn’t have 2 out of 4 of our reservations. Apparently, when you book 3rd party, they are not forwarded to them. Furnishings have seen better days. The TV did not work in 2 of the rooms. The shower had a slow drain in my room so much until the water pooled up ankle deep. They no longer serve breakfast, only coffee. Walls are paper thin-you will hear every conversation in the hallway and in adjoining rooms. Rooms smelled like smoke in non-smoking rooms. Front desk handed out air freshener to spray to minimize the odor. PROS: Front desk staff are absolutely amazing. Reagan and her supervisor really does try to correct all of the shortcomings. This hotel has the potential to be so much more with the right management and updated furniture and paint.

Yes it’s an old property but the front desk was fantastic! Super nice people, incredibly attentive - this is what makes this place. Low cost, rooms were clean and you can’t beat the nice people who work here. Super easy check-in especially with our dog in-tow. Even the guests were nice. Easy to drive right up to the doors ,front or back, and unload. There is an excellent little diner for breakfast right up the block as well. I’d stay here again - if you’re looking for a totally renovated Waldorf, this isn’t for you but for the family for a few nights - go for it!
