Waterfront Bliss on Coastal Hood Canal

"We had the most wonderful family vacation. This location was absolutely perfect as it was right down the street from my childhood home and only minutes away from family. We spent every day on the big deck overlooking the beautiful water and Mountain View. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the kayaking we even got to see a sea lion.I absolutely would recommend this home. My only caution is for anybody with mobility issues. The stairs are pretty treacherous, going to the upper level and the lower level."

"We had been to this property a few years ago and wrote a review. We liked it then but saw room for improvement in cleanliness and a few other small areas. Left a review that reflected that. This time all we liked was still there and the things we didn't were fixed. New dock, the house very clean, decks the same. The house is very well equipped, the kitchen everything that we wanted and a lot more. Good mattress in the room we stayed in. Very quiet during the week, even mid summer. The weekend, as expected was less so. As before, a caution if you have a trailer, a low clearance or oversized vehicle, have a look before you turn off the paved road in to the house. It is tight. Great place."

"We had the best weekend! Steve was the best host, checked up to make sure we got in alright. We brought our boat and it was such a treat to have the dock available. Late night swims with my niece was also the best! I highly recommend this house to any water loving family!"

"Cons - not super clean, garbage on floors in bedrooms, unsure that carpets had been vacuumed. The guest wifi is HORRIBLE, so slow and boots you off daily. There is a password protected wifi that we were not allowed to use which was frustrating as the smart tv's could not function on the slow capped guest wifi. Dining room chairs were very stained which was fine since we had kids anyway, but definitely noticeable. Our biggest concern was one of the children found a pill in their bed - thankfully she brought it to us but it definitely made us question the cleanliness of all the bedding and house in general. House is pretty beat up lots of paint scuffs on the wall, but again we had kids so not a huge concern. Pros - fun house for kids. Garage full of games, swing set, hot tub, volleyball, tether ball. Great sleeping options for multiple families, plenty of extra bedding if needed. Lots of hang out space between second large living room and big dining room. Plenty of dishes and silverware for everyone. Plenty of toilet paper, towels, dish soap, laundry soap. Very handy to have washer and dryer. Fridge was very clean and there was a second fridge if needed in the garage. "
