"I truly enjoyed staying at this property. My friend and I were on a research trip and spent a lot of time on the front porch working. WiFi was very strong and the home was fully furnished with everything we needed. We were even invited to pick fresh strawberries in the garden! We both really enjoyed ourselves and agreed when we have to do one more trip in VA we’ll be staying here again."

"What a wonderful few days on SML! The cabin is quaint and tucked away in a quiet area which was perfect for us to celebrate our anniversary. Laura was wonderful to work with and quick to respond to any questions. Our well behaved lab enjoyed the dock and there was enough space in the second floor/street-side room for us to set up her crate. The view from the back deck was great and we saw many osprey flying nearby. We would definitely stay here again!"

"We loved the cozy living room and amazing screen porch. There was plenty of space for our two young kids, us, and my sister! There was a huge and super comfy sectional sofa and a great fireplace that we made an awesome fire in with the firewood that the hosts left for us. We had a great time hanging out in the house since it rained most of the weekend and was pretty cold. When it did clear up a little, the view from the dock was gorgeous! Had we not had two small children and our dog running...

"Cottage very clean and comfortable! Great location with views of mountains and close proximity to site seeing of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Appalachia Trail. Very nice state park at Smith Lake and would recommend to see. Host would respond quickly to any questions we had while at cottage and made our stay very enjoyable. Will definitely book cottage again to our next trip back to the area!!"

"Beautiful house and very clean. The house is remote. Would recommend you plan to stay at the home the whole time. The lake is beautiful and private. We suggest bringing your supplies down to the lake so you don’t have to go back up and down the hill from the lake. We did enjoy our stay. We would go back with friends and family."

"My daughter and I stayed at this beautiful guest house for my sons graduation at Elon. The owners were super sweet and kind, even dropping us off for the graduation ceremony!!! It is minutes away from Elon University and I wish I knew about it four years sooner! We had a wonderful experience and I HIGHLY recommend this rental!!! No need to ever stay in a hotel when you visit your college student again!!!"

"We had a great stay in this cottage. It was perfect for 2 people. They had supplies you always forget to pack including shampoo/conditioner! The best part was having good coffee from a keurig!! It was hands down much better than a hotel and waking up in the wooded area and seeing deers in the morning was so great! Communication was quick with owners as well! Thank you!! If we are ever in that area again, I would absolutely stay again. 🙂"
