The Gatehouse on 26Rows is situated on 26Rows Vineyard, a boutique and working vineyard. The Gatehouse is furnished to provide luxury accommodation, designed with quality and elegance.
The comforable beds with luxurious linen and towels for you to enjoy.
The modern kitchen/dining area is fully equipped for self catering, with generous provision for a continental breakfast, and flows into the cosy lounge complete with gas fire on those chilly days.
Bifold doors open out off the lounge onto a sunny deck from which you can sit and sip our complimentary bottle of 26Rows overlooking the vineyard and Taraura Mountains.
Ideal for a relaxing weekend couples retreat and only 1km away from the Martinborough Square, cafes, wineries and olive groves.

Within easy reach are the iconic fishing village of Ngawi and the Cape Palliser lighthouse and adjacent seal colony, an hour's drive away. Lake Ferry, 30 minutes away, offers its famous fish and chips with amazing sunsets over the western hills.
Other local activities include the cinema, library, beauty spa, swimming pool, horse riding, all very close by.

An absolutely wonderful option while visiting Martinborough and the surrounding vineyards. Helen and Gordie have done an admirable job creating the Gatehouse on their vineyard “26 Rows”. Tastefully decorated, designed with all the comforts of home. A must stay in the area.

We loved our stay at Gatehouse Cottage . It had everything we could have wished for and so peaceful . Walking distance to the square and lots of wineries . Martinborough is a special place and 26 Rows is the ideal spot to stay .

The Gatehouse was perfect for our stay with friends. It had all that we required to enjoy meals together and coffee/tea/wine on the porch taking in the view. Very quiet and peaceful.

The location was great and the accommodations were perfect. It was clean and continental breakfast was provided which was a great surprise. Would highly recommend 26Rows to anyone going to Martinborough.

The perfect location for wine tasting on our honeymoon.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 26 Rows. Helen and family were very welcoming and the accomodation was perfect. Helen has thought of anything you may need for your stay. Being able to enjoy the wine produced by the vineyard whilst taking a walk along the rows accompanied by Morris (the dog) was a great highlight of our stay.Would certainly recommend!

Prefect for a holiday in Martinborough

The gatehouse was perfect for a stay in Martinborough. It was incredibly clean and well-maintained, the hosts had even stocked it with breakfast supplies. The place was cozy and comfortable, and it was close enough to the Martinborough square to walk. We only stayed for two nights but could easily have done more.

A great find. Quiet location close to everything and walking distance to the square. Accommodation provide everything you need, along with some continental breakfast items to kickstart your stay.

Xmas at 26 Rows Gatehouse

It's was very well appointed, with generous extras in terms of food,wine.. The only thing missing was the Hot Tub that was mentioned in the Book-a-bach listing of amenities. We were all looking forward to that.

Marvellous Martinborough

Gorgeous Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in the Gatehouse at 26Rows. From the well equipped and imaginatively styled house to the little extras that Helen provided, they all helped for a great holiday stay. The location is quiet, yet within easy reach of the many attractions in the area. We can’t wait to return.

This is a fabulous gem in Martinborough. The property is amazing, very well maintained, beautiful decor, lots of fantastic treats (wine, bread, eggs, juice, chocolates and homemade biscuits). The hosts go above and beyond. We'll definitely be back

We loved this property.

We loved this property. It has been created to a very high standard with lots of thoughtful touches for guests and lots of little surprises. It was a peaceful and unique setting but also really handy for us to duck into town and get out doing all that Wairarapa has to offer, especially wine tasting! Definitely coming back and recommending to friends.

Look no further.

Look no further. This property is perfect. Every amenity is provided: Heated bathroom floors and towel racks, high quality bed linens, breakfast supplies included fresh eggs from the neighbor, milk, coffee, tea, variety of cereals, fresh bread, butter and yogurt. They also provide a complementary bottle of their Sauv Blanc (Yum!) The place is spotless and in excellent condition. The property if beautiful. Even though it's on the same property as the main house, it feels very private. A must!
