It’s a perfect place to stay to enjoy the sights of the surrounding region. The hosts make you feel at home, the grounds are lovely, the breakfast with a variety of delicious homemade cakes was wonderful.

Martina Franca is an excellent choice as a base for visiting the key cities in Puglia. Trulli d'Autore is a great B&B just outside the city - clean, private, friendly hosts. It has parking as you will need a car to explore and a pool if you just want to relax at the B&B. Dont think you will find a better option.

A memorable relaxing stay

What stands out about Truilli D'Autore is the personal touch and the relaxing countryside location. The guest grounds and pool area are beautifully landscaped, orderly, and immaculately clean. We stayed in a non-Truilli attic room with seating and views of the pool area and Truilli rooftops. The room was rustic, super clean, serviced daily, and the towels were regularly replaced. The grounds have a hidden working farm. All the family contributes to the breakfast, be it homemade cheese, meats, cakes, and their fresh eggs are served every morning. Dorothea is a warm-hearted person with a fun personality who makes great efforts for her guests.

We've had the most wonderful stay, Dorothea and the staff at Trulli d'Autore went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The spot is beautiful with local trullis and olive trees, and is located in the gorgeous country side near Martina Franca. Highly recommended

Great stay

Thoroughly enjoyed and was satisfied with my choice of this Trulli hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the hardworking Dorothea. Unaccustomed to preparing poached eggs for breakfast she not only was prepared to learn the classic method of preparation (appreciating that there are various opinions available!) she practiced and served excellent examples throughout my stay! NB this option, she told me, is not available during peak occupancy!! Good recommendations for places to visit and, importantly, dine, in the region. If I revisit Puglia a stay at the Trulli d’Autore will certainly be on my schedule Bravo, Dorothea!

Masseria typique à recommander

Le lieu est très beau avec des chambres fort propres décorées avec beaucoup de goût, une piscine très agréable pour un bain rafraîchissant et une luxuriante végétation très belle. Idéal pour un peu de repos et visiter quelques villes aux alentours. Dès l’entrée, le magnifique du lieu se manifeste avec une vaste étendue d’oliviers. De l’excellente huile d’olive est produite et vendue à la masseria. Le petit-déjeuner composé essentiellement de produits de saison cultivés, produits ou cuisinés par les propriétaires ou leurs subordonnés est délicieux. A ne pas manquer. Tous nos interlocuteurs ont été hyper chaleureux, agréables, sympas et de bons conseils. Le ménage des chambres n’est pas effectué tous les jours sauf sur demande. Mais, une vigilance accrue est accordée avec le COVID-19 (masques en permanence, gels à disposition, savon anti bactérien et/ou virucide dans les chambres, prise de température à l’arrivée, nettoyage des matelas de piscine ...). Il faut anticiper qu’il n’y a pas de restaurant sur place même si quelques fois un des propriétaires nous a cuisiné des très bons plats le midi à des prix très raisonnables. Le premier hameau avec supérette et restaurant est à 5km, toutes les routes de campagne étant assez tortueuses ou du moins pas des plus faciles surtout pour des citadins. On regrette que le matelas ait été très dur, ce qui n’est pas idéal quand on a des problèmes de dos.
