Abbott Valley Homestead - 10 Minutes to Glacier Park

"Jaybirds" is a three bedroom, two bath single family home on one level with a king in the master, one queen bed and one double. Jaybird's is located in the country on the 275 acre Abbott Valley Homestead and is sited in a secluded area amidst swaying tamarack, birch and aspen. A fully equipped kitchen, dining area and master bedroom open out onto a lovely patio with a BBQ and dining area which is great for outdoor morning coffee and evening meals. A fire pit is perfect for relaxing and listening to the trees sway in the breeze and later for stargazing. There is a swing set and easy access to North Abbott Creek which is a paradise for nature lovers. Jaybird's was recently remodeled. While it retains the original knotty pine and charm, it is equipped with all the modern amenities and conveniences for your comfort.

The location was perfect for a visit to Glacier National Park, since it was only a few minutes away. It was really nice to sit on the porch and listen to the waterfall in the nearby stream. The beds were also quite comfortable. We had everything we needed so it was a great visit!

We loved it

Beautiful house in the middle of the woods. Equiped with everything what a group of treveling people needs. Clean and cosy. We loved preparing our suppers on the outside grill. Highly recomending for groups up to 8 people.

Great place to stay

The cabin was super clean and comfortable and in a terrific location for accessing West Glacier. The surrounding area was quiet and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this cabin for visits to Glacier.

The Jay Bird cottage is conveniently located next to GNP. It is also a short drive to Whitefish for shopping and dining.

Comfortable Accommodations close to Glacier

We had a wonderful stay and everything was clean and welcoming. Accommodations were exactly as listed and everything we needed was on hand. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the area. We had four in our group but would easily sleep 6 adults. Everything was great!

Family Adventure

They stay here was fantastic!! We had a great time and enjoy taking walks around the area and swinging on the swings in the yard. The proximity to Glacier National Parks West Entrance was great and we truly enjoyed our time there. The host, Doyle, was great and extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay. All was in order, clean, attractive, comfortable and quiet. Our host was responsive and easy to get in touch with. We appreciated the full kitchen, the washer and dryer and plenty of hot water! It is an easy distance to the entry of Glacier N.P. Thank you!

Privacy plus at this house

The house worked well for our group of four people. The kitchen was stocked very well for meal prep with plenty of pots, pans, dishes… for us. The property was about 10 minute drive to the main Apgar entrance to GNP. We had a good impression of the property and location.

Lovely house in the woods/great access to Glacier National Park

We stayed at Jaybirds cabin for a 6 day trip to Glacier National Park. The house was perfect for our family of 4 with college age kids. Clean, quiet and well appointed- within 20 minutes of the West entrance. We loved hanging out at the back patio table and listening to the birds. Very happy and would stay here again when we return.

Gorgeous place

Very nicely updated property in the woods. Lovely flowers. Well equipped kitchen. Fire pit and gas bbq. Great lighting inside. Easy access to Glacier National Park (but it was so crowded there). 4 y.o. grandson loved the swing!

Glacier Base Camp

Jaybirds was a great place for our family. It was close to Glacier and other sights. The house had everything we needed and then some. It was obvious that the owners went out of their way to have everything one would need: the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook, there were extra towels, blankets and pillows amd much more! We enjoyed exploring the property - the kids loved playing in the creek- and staying in rural Montana! We would highly recommend!

Amazing getaway

The house is back a gravel road surrounded by trees and nature. There are other houses around but it still feels as though you are secluded. The house was perfect for our family of four and the kids enjoyed the swings and rope outside. Glacier National Park is not far at all from the house and easy to get to. Doyle was an amazing host and would absolutely stay in the house again!

Beautiful spot close to Glacier

We had a little hiccup in the beginning just because I didn’t receive an email about how to access the property but when I inquired about it, Doyle responded quickly. The house is very nicely set up with all the amenities you need. We did have problems with the TV but we were on vacation in a beautiful place so we decided to enjoy nature instead of the TV. The beds we’re comfortable and the home was very clean.
