"We visited the Salamander Resort and Spa this spring for a quick trip. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. Thank you for a great trip!"

"We came to Gainesville, VA because my aunt passed. The woman at the desk when we arrived was nice. I left as soon as we got there at 10pm, Around 11:30pm a man walked into the room. My mother thought it was me coming back so she said “back so soon?” Then she heard him mumbling and he thankfully left. When I did return it was very late and she was still awake and told me what happened. Neither of us slept much that night! In the morning, I went to the front desk and told the woman what had happened. She said “Did you leave the door cracked open?” Like it was our fault someone broke into the room we were staying in. I said “No, I closed the door when I left. “ besides, it is a heavy door that slams shut as soon as I let it go. So it was definitely not left open. I said, “is it possible someone got ahold of a master key?” And she replied, “the only person with a master key was the woman on duty at the desk at 11:30pm”. I said, “Well, he got into our room with a door key.” She just stared at me like I was complaining about nothing. I then said, “ok well please tell someone else that is in charge here because there is a man that has the ability to get into the rooms and the Hotel should know about this so someone can investigate before something bad happens. We were lucky nothing happened.” She just said ok and looked at me like she had no idea what I wanted for her to say to ease our nerves or rectify the situation. The next night, we double bolted the door!!"

"We have stayed here few days back and forth. It’s a hit and miss. TV doesn’t have signal most times. The cleanliness is good, one time found fake lashes in the bathroom. Gym is good. Our room had a very distinct weird smell. "

"I arrived at 9:30 pm. It was easy to reach a person at the hotel who promptly sent a shuttle to get me. Note there are several Hampton in the area and you need to know the address of where you are going. Front desk clerk was friendly. Gave me bottled water. Loved the bedding and shower pressure. The return to the airport was only available on the hour. Both drivers were so nice. Breakfast started early and had lots of options. "

"Beautiful facility. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Quick check in with personable employees. I had an issue with room assignment due to my mobility issues at times. Nicole at the front desk couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating!! Gold star employee! Changed our room and it made all the difference!"
