"The location was great - walking distance to the farmer’s market and golf course. Very busy lake on the chain of lakes, but easy to get around. Sauna, hot tub, and plenty of room to play on the lake. We brought our pontoon and jet skis and had a good place to dock. Very easy to get to the landing and good trailer parking for the stay. Kitchen was adequate and bar was fun. Pool table was great and the selection of board games was endless. We made lots of amazing memories!"

"Staff was very friendly. Impressed with the breakfast for “complimentary”. Room was clean but only complaint was a “musty” smell from the fan blowing. I have experienced same smell at two other (different chain) hotels recently, so it could just be “the season”. I would stay here again when in the area."

"This was a beautiful cabin where 9 of us had plenty of room. The house was clean & it was nice having a table big enough for all of us to eat together. It was nice having the fire pit near the house so we didn't have to go down to the lake & back. The hill from the house to the lake was steep but we didn't have any problems with it. The lake was the highlight for the kids, it had a sand bottom & the large dock was perfect for all to sit. Every night we watched the sunset from the dock. We rented a pontoon & jet ski from Bubba's that were big hits. It's a fairly quiet area on the lake which was nice & most days we went through the channels to the other lakes. We would highly recommend staying here!"

"Property has everything you need for your stay in the northwoods. Ample room for a family or a couples vacation. Everything was clean and ready. Being pet friendly was a big plus! Our Weimaraner loved it! Shops were close. Ice cream shop in Phelps. Great pizza at Northern Exposure in Phelps. Had a great time! Thanks,Chuck!"

"This property was amazing for our family of 18, ranging in age from 2 months to 66 years. There was plenty of room to spread out while still having ample space to gather together.The shoreline is shallow enough for little ones, and the splash pad was a blast for all ages. The paddleboards and kayaks were a great way to explore the lake.There was more than enough refrigerator and freezer space, and the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped for cooking. We also appreciated the ample dining space for our entire group.We loved not having a TV in the main living area. Lots of time for books, games and puzzles. The gazebo was a hit with the kids. The host was great to work with and quick to respond. This place does not disappoint!"

"We loved our stay and had a wonderful week. The house and property are very nice and all of the beds are comfortable. There’s plenty of room indoors and out so even with a lot of people, it doesn’t feel crowded. Lots of nice plates, bowls, glasses and silverware and with two dishwashers, it was easy to always have clean dishes. A good assortment of spices and two coffee makers, one Keurig and one drip. There’s a ping pong table and foos ball in the garage that was lots of fun. And down at the boathouse, there’s a cute little sitting area inside.The boat put in is directly across from the house, so convenient if you’re renting or have boats. A couple of fairly minor things - there’s no soap of any kind in the showers, only liquid soap at the bathroom sinks, so bring soap. However, the showers were nice and the pressure very good. Toilet paper and paper towels are not supplied either, so bring those. The double ovens are really nice to have, but should have been cleaned - I couldn’t find a self clean button or I would have done it. I would definitely recommend Yellow Birch Inn - and already have - to my friends."

"This was perfect for our long weekend family getaway with two teenage boys. We got in lots of fishing, kayaking, and had a good time relaxing in the hot tub. The rain was hit-or-miss so we never had a bonfire but everything was there for us if the weather had cooperated. Will definitely keep this place on our list of vacation options!"
