Lovely little place, everything was perfect with helpful staff and lovely setting. Within a short walkable distance to Jamaa Lafna. The only downside was the check in which was very slow as our room wasn't ready until 4.

Rooms on the ground floor were outside of the pool area so you had little privacy unless you shut the curtains all day. Clean rooms, good location. Sufficient enough amenities apart from first night where we had no hot water. At breakfast we think they were reusing pots of jam from the day before, as on our second day we had apricot jam but underneath the top layer was strawberry jam - which we had on the day before.
The staff seemed hospitable at first but this quickly changed. We had an issue with our booking which required the riad to get in contact with Expedia. The riad lied to us and said that they had heard nothing from Expedia, despite Expedia showing proof that they had. We were assured on our leaving day they the riad would sort out this issue for us, yet we were continually lied to. They have since ignored my follow up emails. This is very poor customer service, I would not recommend this riad based on this.
My partner and I had an amazing 3-night stay at Mokha. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. The riad is beautiful and provided a magical atmosphere in the best location within Marrakech. The food is delicious and the rooms are very comfortable. I would recommend anyone to stay here, whether you’re with a family, your partner, or solo.
We got to Riad Mokha Mokha for a 3 night stay and we were greeted at reception. We were given tea with biscuits whilst given details about the area. The gent was lovely. I was then advised that I needed to pay which I knew, however I was asked to pay in MAD and when i did the conversion it was 500eu instead of 300eu. I showed the gentleman my booking on Expedia and he said he will check. I told them that I wont pay a penny more than what was agreed. We were then advised in the evening that they will honour the price on the booking. The stay was good, the location is brilliant as its just around the corner from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are small but it didnt really bother us. The bathroom smelled dampness after the first night however the common grounds where washed everyday and smelled lovely. It gets quite noisy very early in the morning but again it didnt bother us. My main concern now is that I have been contacted by my bank to advise that fraudulent activity took place on the credit card I provided on Expedia. This was on the day we arrived in Marrakech and it was for the amount of £400. It seems that even though I told the riad that I won't pay any more than what was agreed with Expedia, they still went ahead and tried to take money off my credit card multiple times on that day and only agreed to honour the fare when they didnt manage to get payment. Based on this episode I wont stay in this riad again even though the staff are lovely ..the company is fraudulent
Everything was fine except they failed to provide the one thing that is fundamental to a hotel: a place to sleep. Our room was directly off of the lobby and there was a window between our bedroom and the lobby. We heard EVERYTHING from the lobby all day and ALL NIGHT long. Every check in, check out, inquiry, phone call, delivery etc etc ALL NIGHT LONG. You cannot sleep in a hotel lobby and you cannot sleep in these rooms. I complained after the first night and management refused to do anything. TIP: when you get a valid complaint and you refuse to address it, don´t thank the guest for their "understanding". Assumes facts not in evidence!
The pictures make it seem like the rooms are nice and bright, when in reality a lot of the rooms are on the lower level where it’s super dark and humid, and also extremely loud. My room was on the ground floor next to the little “pool” and that’s where they sit people who arrive before bringing them to their room, so basically the room’s already dark and you need to keep your curtains closed at all time to try and have a bit of privacy (it’s basically as if you had no window).
It’s super loud too because people are hanging out just outside the room and you can hear all the noise from the reception and the neighboring rooms, and the plumbing which was making weird noises throughout the night.
I was awaken constantly by the phone ringing at reception (at 5am), people walking in and out, the alarm clock in the next room, the plumbing, etc.
The staff is nice but not much they can do about the crappy rooms. They did move one of my friends on day 2 from the horrible room she was in (immediately next to reception with virtually no window) to a nicer room on the highest floor.
Not a question of price as all the rooms cost the same (we tried).
Bathroom was quite run down (thankfully it was dark so I probably didn’t see how dirty it was).
Apart from the location which is convenient to explore the Medina, there’s nothing I would compliment about this hotel.
Risultato?
On reviendra !!
